the comment from borden at the time was that no official should be expected to see that double dribble in real time. all time dumb comment

Or trying to explain why an official calling a Final Four missed back to back calls that cost Auburn a chance to win a national championship. If the official calls the foul Virginia shoots 2 free throws, if they make both it’s most likely overtime. Instead he doesn’t call the foul and he doesn’t call the OBVIOUS double dribble and UVA hit 3 free throws to win the game. If not sure you could explain to that official why it’s not a good thing to stick his finger in a light socket.

again the reason you dont get any respect on this board is because you wont call out bad officiating. There is good officials out theere. you just may not nr one of them
Officiating is incredibly hard, I definitely could not do it. But these guys are paid well to do their job, to miss back to back calls like that in the Final Four is abysmal.
