Minneapolis bout to burn to the ground. This is not a good look at all for the Minneapolis PD.
It's a wrongful death, either way you look at it. But there's a little more to it than he was just wrapped up in a blanket. He had a gun in his hand and they wete looking for people who knew they had arrest warrants for homicide.

Sounds to me like the task force had some shitty intel that led to an innocent man's death.

He has every right to legally possess a gun. In which case he had here. He likely didn't understand the situation as 9 seconds is not sufficient time to understand who is hovering over you when they quietly entered the apartment before announcing themselves. If he was sleeping. Which it looks like he probably was. I understand the reasoning for the no knock warrant in this case if you are certain your targets are in the residence. It's just a shame that they got it with clearly bad intel.

On another note. Where are you in your life when you feel like you need to sleep with a pistol in your hand?

If I hear ppl in my house, I'm going to be holding a guy when they approach our bedroom. If they don't approach then I'll be holding one when I go and find them.

The guy should be able to sleep with whatever makes him feel safe.

Horrible situation.

I definitely agree about that. And I am certainly not saying that he deserved to be shot because he was sleeping with a gun in his hand. It's just weird to me.

That is weird if he was holding it. Purely guessing he could have been work up and grabbed it from next to him.

Only gun in my hand I sleep with is my... love gun. We have his and her guns in nightstands. I've never been a gun guy, still not, but wife's family could start a militia.

For sure. I don't know all the details. And I don't know what protocol is for no-knock warrants. Just seems like shooting someone within a matter seconds is awfully hasty. Would be interested in hearing the perspective from the cops, but the optics certainly don't look good. Tragic either way.

Let's say you're in a senior management position. You are responsible for hiring 30 individuals. What does your hiring process look like?

30 individuals at once? First, I go to the CFO and ask for a bonus/raise for that headache. Then, I filter for the most qualified applicants (I’m assuming we’re talking about jobs with hundreds of applicants). Interview those people. Hire the most qualified of the most qualified. Within that subset of the most qualified individuals, there will undoubtedly be diversity in race and gender, so no worries there.

200 years of picking VP’s solely based on being white with a wiener….. that’s fine.

Picking a VP because they’re not white and don’t have a wiener….. that’s racist!!
JFC----this dumb ass shit again?
