That knife was a split second away from being plunged into the other girls neck. Literally a split second away from being murdered.

How/what does Lebron benefit here for himself?

His audience is all in on the social justice stuff and the league is as well so anything that gets people buying his merchandise and supporting him and going all in on the league's stance on these issues helps him. FTR, I have zero issues with all of that. Issues that matter to these athletes should be things they focus on. But ignoring similar issues elsewhere because it could cost you money is a bad look.

So you are saying he actually approves of violence against black people or is indifferent on it because everytime it may happen it gives him an opportunity to pretend to care to make $ off his 100 million minions even though he is incredibly rich and gives away millions on the reg.

Pretty amazing POV you are rolling with on this one.

I don't think that's what he said.

Not sure what you are talking about. That is a pretty lazy take. Argue what I said and not what you want me to say. I said it was an issue that mattered to him so he should care about it. But he shouldn't only care about it when it appeals to his audience. He should have the moxie to also stand up for injustice that is going on and relevant to something he is associated with.

Lebron is a great guy when it comes to charity. He puts his money where his mouth is and should be commended for that. None of that has anything to do with being inflammatory just to have a take though. He is smart enough to be more measured and educated IMO.

So you want to be Lebron's twitter manager

No, that makes no sense. Feel like you are straying farther away from any reasonable discussion.
If it's about what benefits Lebron and merchandising wouldn't he just avoid upsetting conservatives on twitter ? That's alot of people getting alienated.

Who is he alienating that already isn't turned off by stances he has taken in the past? You know the answer. In politics and with political issues there is always a group that will support you and one that won't. Sucks but that is the way it is. He plays to the crowd that he knows makes him the most money. That's fine. I respect that. It's smart. Just be consistent. He also turns people off by standing up for things he believes in and he stand for. That's fine. Just be consistent if the issue is truly one that is worth standing for.

If all he cares about is his bottom line why would he have ever said anything that would have alienated anybody?

Because he figures the benefit of drumming up support from one side outweighs the negative of losing it from the other.

Why would CNN ever alienate conservatives? Why would FOX ever alienate liberals?

I feel like I have pretty consistently said that he cares about these issues as well. He also cares about how people perceive him. This isn't like a controversial take. Dude has always been super concerned with perception. He also cares about what makes the NBA and him money and clearly will fall in line with the League even if it means not standing up for things he stands for at other times. If you are going to continue to try and shape my argument into something it isn't just stop talking. You understand what I'm saying but keep trying hard to muck it up enough to have some sort of 'gotcha' moment. It ain't coming.

It is good business. Playing to the crowd he is benefits him more than even being neutral in today's climate. Again, it's smart. Again, it is fair to criticize him for kind of playing dumb at times.

Lol at triggered. You fail to actually discuss anyone's points. You just try to make them feel like they are saying something other than what they actually said. To be fair, that is giving you credit because it is better than the other option. So you're welcome.
