Hell of a basketball player. Not too bright on much else.
He should have focused more in school. His lack of education is showing.
He took ownership of his irresponsible tweet and said he shouldn’t rush to judgment without the facts. That’s what an adult does.
If only Trump had that level of maturity.
He’s at least using his platform to bring to light issues of racial justice and trying to promote change. LBJ has donated millions to charities and done so much to help black youth with The Boys and Girls Club of America, Children’s Defense Fund, Gabriel’s Angel Foundation, etc.
LeBron is a role model for millions of people which is what made his rush to judgment today especially painful but he walked it back.
Tensions are high right now with the recent wave of police brutality.
I'm not sure Lebron really took responsibility or ownership for his Tweet. He kind of did but not fully. He mentioned generic platitudes but never said anything directly to the person he addressed with his comment. Lebron always sort of says what he thinks will benefit him though, whether it is in regards to China or injustice or anything else. He will address issues and be moral when he doesn't think it will hurt his bottom line. That doesn't mean he doesn't believe in the things he says but he just will only take those stands when it won't hurt him in some way.

No, he should not comment on every thing but he picks and chooses what to comment on based on how it helps him or the way people perceive him. For him to comment on the China thing was reasonable with the NBA ties and his apparent morals but that would mean he would have to be a hypocrite so instead just claims ignorance. Ignorance is fine for him when he wants to harp on something else though. Jump quickly on a story and comment when he doesn't know the facts then turn around and not comment on something he does know about simply because he doesn't want to hurt the brand. It's just disingenuous to try and comment on things from a moral standpoint when you play favorites the way he does, which is fine. His fans should just own it though. We know he won't.
He never comments on the real problem which is inner city black on black crime. He is almost as bad as a politician. BTW, what does Trump have to do with this?

For the record I think the NBA has been quite hypocritical with the China thing after Morey's comments. Lot of the most prominent guys (LeBron included) either didn't say much or called out Morey which was pathetic. But what exactly are they supposed to do? All China will do is ban them. They have no power in that scenario. As for the most recent thing, meh. Lethal force being used on a 15 year old girl with a knife is terrible. He rushed to judgement early, but that's social media for you.

It’s terrible for that girl that she chose to try and murder someone in front of a police officer. The girl in pink is lucky that cop used his gun and not a taser, IMO.

Referencing the attempted stabbing of one black girl by another, Newsome said, “Teenagers have been having fights including fights involving knives for eons. We do not need police to address these situations by showing up to the scene & using a weapon against one of the teenagers. Y’all need help. I mean that sincerely.”
We must assume from this that we should let one girl stab the other and wait to see how it turns out.
Newsome’s bizarre message is that knife fights are normal for teens and the police should stay out of it.
To her, calling the police and having them save a young girl’s life is enabling white supremacy.

The girl pink is lucky she wasn't shot too. Could have easily missed. I'm not mourning for someone going after someone else with a knife when a cop is on scene. But this country is too trigger happy, cops included.
