Zion looked great. Rest of the squad was meh or not very good. Bolden would of helped last night , not so much tonight though.
Yea that was one of those instances that made them put in the circle under the rim. K use to teach his guys to do this all the time now. Now it's a foul. You could see the look on Singler's face after that play , he knew he got banged on hard and got away with one.So go with this?

It was a bad call, no question.
But you guys got completely wrecked in that game.
I think Virginia might be the only team realistically standing in the way of Duke winning it all.
If Duke plays anywhere near their potential for 6 games straight, no one is beating them. I don't see them losing in the first weekend unless they play their C game or worse and their opponents plays their A game. However, I think there are teams that can beat them even if Duke plays their B game.
Pretty sure that dunk would have tied it or made it a 1 possession game. Carolina never recovered from that bullshit call and the rest, as they say, is history.
It was 13-6, early in the 1st half. You had plenty of time to recover from that. UNC shot 33% from the field in that game... which I'm sure most of can be attributed to because of the missed call.
The difference between 13-6 and 13-8 is astronomical. Leave it to a Duke fan to downplay the importance of that call.

Was last night a D- game then? A lot of teams would've beat them, including Syracuse if their best player could've played. I mean, Syracuse played, at best, a C+ game. This Duke team is so vulnerable, imo.
I wish Roy would sit a few guys and try and beat Duke with a limited lineup. That would be a pretty awesome troll job.
Meh. Frank Martin had a hell of a game. I believe Battle's absence was offset by that. I am so sick of hearing unc fans cry about injuries.
It was a pretty low quality game for Duke outside of Zion. Even he had issues with FT shooting. The turnovers were probably the biggest issues but that's not too surprising given the lineup change. But they still beat a tourney team by double digits playing their D level game. Every team is vulnerable. I just think Duke is less vulnerable than most other teams and it will take a pretty strong effort by the opponent combined by a pretty weak effort by Duke for Duke to lose.
We match up really well with UNC. They're still uber talented and can beat us on any given night but I would prefer to play UNC over Duke every single day of the week. The ACC is interesting because UVA is a bad matchup for UNC, Duke is a bad matchup for UVA, and UNC is a bad matchup for Duke.
UNC doesn't have anyone that can guard ZW. Maye certainly cant, maybe Brooks if duke is in a small line up? Play way off of him and dare him to take jump shots I guess. I would imagine Little will be on him when they're in the game together. But as others have said, even if ZW drops 30/15 UNC can still win if no one other than Barrett steps up. They really wore duke down in both matchups getting up and down the floor. If UNC needs to make it a non-stop, end to end type game and shoot well from deep.
The only person who should worry about Reddish would be the guy between him and the basket. It's amazing that he hasn't hurt someone this year the way he just plows through people.

Nobody will contain Zion. He will get his. I think that’s kind of undebatable. But if everyone else plays like they did last night, let’s just note that UNC is substantially better than Syracuse.
UNC shot 40% from the field and 31% from 3 when they played Cuse and scored 93 with Tyus Battle. UNC shot a ton of FT's because their zone is very vulnerable at the rim. Just like K's guys did last night. Beating Syracuse by 12 without Battle playing and Zion back wasn't that impressive. Zion was impressive that was about it.
Obviously it wasn't an impressive game. Duke's wins over Virginia weren't that impressive, either. This team doesn't need to be impressive to beat teams. When they are impressive, watch out.
What’s funny is UNC has been the same way. Not sure they’ve played their complete A game against anyone in this stretch.
