Maybe that is because you're choosing to look at one side of the equation? You need to weight the good against the bad.
? No question the victory against Bama is Big , but UT is racking up subpar Net 35 losses, which could hurt them seeding wise.
Vols just need Phillips and JJ back soon .
I think our biggest worry is these unranked teams. We seem to be able to get up for the top teams, but we take our eye of the ball against the lower ranked teams. We are obviously not good enough to sleep walk thru unranked, but quality teams.
It reminds me of something my grandmother use to say, "a hard head, equals a soft butt". She had lots of sayings.
Della, you have nothing to do with my hatred of The Phat Phil Phulmers. So what you write is insignificant to me regardless of what you think.
I know y'all like to blame Fulmer for y'all's paying of Albert Means to play CFB for you, but you shouldn't have paid him to play for you. I'll bet you didn't know that UT coaching staff informed the NCAA of Means seeking money before y'all ever even offered him. That is not something you'll hear about on bammer sports radio, but it's true.
On your other point, I'm just tit for tat. My comment was directed at 77, I knew he would think it funny and he did.
That falls back on the coach. Barnes and this team is taking heavy heat from Vol fans. They’re not happy with him at all right now.
Some aren't, but most of those are dumbasses. They need to realize that your team is not going to win every title and go undefeated doing it. They should be happy that he has put us in a position that we have a chance. You guys suffer from this more than we do due to your high level of success in the past.
Who is the next John Wooden? The odds of hiring him are tiny. Be thankful for what you have.
Every fanbase has dumbasses but don’t you think he and this team deserves any of the heat they’re getting? This is supposed to be the best team ever at UT (even you said that many times), a real final four contender and y’all have lost to several low net, unranked teams. Some people are saying UT shouldn’t even be on the 3 line now. This should easily have been a UT team that earned a 1 or 2 seed at worst. What’s your thoughts on this?

Although to be fair Scotty , they are missing two 5 stars at the moment.
I think it is best team because of the depth of quality. If Grant Williams fouled out we were done. That is not true with this team.
People over react. People thought we should be on the 1 line after beating bama. I don't know if you remember, I was the one saying Cal is a great coach when UK fans wanted to skin him alive. The reason I said he was a great coach was because he is a great coach. No coach is perfect and neither are the teams they coach.
I'm hoping these losses equate to being prepared in the tourney. Regardless, it's been a fun season with some big wins. How would you like to be UL? Be thankful for what you have.
Yea that’s a fair point no doubt even though they did beat Bama short handed. Most of the other loses came with a full roster so I think that’s where most of the UT fans are coming from.

Imagine if players like Embiid and Anthony Davis stayed 4 years, and you’re getting all those dudes. Also, you only have to win 4 in the tourney, at a time with far less parity.

So in other words yes, you are disappointed in this team. Kinda the same thing all other UT fans are saying. One guy even brought up losing the head to head Barnes vs Cal thing and said “now that we don’t don’t have that what do we have”. You could almost tell he was broken hearted by reading his tweets.
Why don't you stick to my exact words instead of trying to twist things? Barnes still has Cal all time meetings.

It is your words pretty much isn’t it? I mean you told us all how this is UT’s best team ever and how Barnes is y’all’s best coach ever. Getting beat by unranked teams over and over has to hurt when you expected to be really good. As far as KenPom lol no, I don’t go by that. I don’t know anybody but you that does.😂 As far as Cal and Barnes I’m pretty sure yesterdays win tied them up head to head. Might wanna go read up on that if you think Barnes still has the lead. Oh and yes I’m disappointed in the way our season has went up to this point as far wins but I also understand bringing in a new team every year is gonna take time. Hopefully we have got to that point where we have tuned the corner.

It is convenient you don't go by KenPom. In years past that was all y'all went by. It was to constant topic of conversation. The thrill of beating #1 more than offsets taking a loss to #40. But, that is just me.
I like Barnes a lot and I think he is our best coach. If you want to argue those opinions, go for it, but don't try to twist something that is not true. That is a deplorable way to have a conversation.
