Take the ban bet with someone else. That’s an easy win for someone.
Nobody else has stepped up - I was hoping for Hail but he’s too smart and would actually honor the bet. Board is way too important for him too risk so he’s out. I doubt anyone else gives a shit. But if you think its an easy win I’ll bet you $100 Purdue takes it outright. It would be worth it to see you payoff me and also get “banned” for your other stupid bets. I doubt I’d see a cent.

Curious why you think they’re huge upgrades when they’ve yet to play a game? Sure they look decent on paper but you lost one of your best players and arguably your two best shooters on a poor shooting team. Franklin is a pretty big loss IMO.
We gained more than we lost as far as shooting is concerned by a wide margin.

I’ll pay you $100 if Purdue wins the Big Ten outright. You never post on this board again if Purdue doesn’t win outright… deal?

I think Johnson is a better PG than Phin. By a lot. Unless of course Rob as a freshman returns. And what do you mean they have yet to play a game? Johnson has played in 84 career games...Stewaer has played 60 games...His numbers are similar to Franklns. Its not like Johnson/Franklin are incoming freshman..

That’s not really saying much because Phinisee is very meh. I meant they haven’t played for you guys yet. Who knows how a transfer is going to work out.

I mean, sure. May not fit.....Mat fit. Dunno. But from what I have seen, I think they'll be just fine. Its s new system for everyone. Its not like they are coming, and behind others.

Phinisee has really digressed..Its crazy. He was really good, solid as a frosh. Dunno what happened.

Johnson is more physical...bigger...shoots it better...and IMO, see's the floor better.

Who knows. Just going by what I have seen from Parker/Johnson. They could totally suck. WHo knows.

Lol at banking on a freshman to solve your shooting woes.
Didn't realize Kopp, Johnson and Stewart were freshman. News to me. And what does being a freshman have to do with anything? If you can shoot----You can shoot. Bates is going to be a really good player.

Was talking about Bates. I feel like I remember you and maybe other saying similar things regarding Leal last year and he only shot 30%. I didn’t say he won’t be a good player I just would be surprised if he came in and was north of 35% from 3.

Leal is a good shooter...He just didn't enough run. His defense was a big issue. But, I mean that kid needed more shots. Kid only put 30 three's all year. ANother issue is such a slow release. I saw the kid a lot in HS,,,,LIghts out shooter. But the college game is different.

As for Bates, some scouting reports call him an accurate shooter, from deep. He did shoot 44% from three in HS. Kid has a nice stroke. BUt who knows. College game is different...Speed of defenders closing out, athletic ability to contest.

Kopp and Stewart are great shooters. Tamar Bates is also a really good shooter.

Kopp is a 36% career shooter with only one season north of 33%. Far from great.

Great IMO is someone like Stefanovich or Cline. Kopp isn’t on that level.

Honestly just my opinion- I rather have March success than success in the regular season success vs a certain team.
I don’t think many would disagree expect for the poster that has to make a poll and is so salty that he brings it up every other post.

@Jaycg15 and @all4theillini really letting their homerism shine through. It’s not really close guys.
Illinois was without argument better in 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, and 20. Loyola had two better postseason runs, but that’s about it. It’s not my fault that people don’t actually look into a stupid argument.

And almost all of the voters are from this thread and are biased against Illinois. Literally means nothing.

A fake field goal call fail on the first drive, and then failing to stop on 3 and 18. Going to be a long day.

Feels very similar to the past few years. Dumb penalties and bad play calling,

He shot 39% the year before. Were stats lying then? In 2 years of college basketball Parker Stewart has more made 3s than Sasha does in 3 years.

Maybe you missed when I said Kopp only had one of three seasons north of 33% lol. Far from “great.”

I’d hope Stewart would’ve made more 3’s in 2 years versus Sasha in 3 seeing as how Stewart has taken 35 more 3’s in 2 years than Sasha has in 3 years (388 versus 353). So congrats on Stewart making 3 more 3’s on 35 more attempts 😂😂😂 with a significantly lower percentage. I’ll take the more efficient guy any day of the week over the inefficient chucker.

Sasha has been between 38 and 41% from 3 in his career which is a great shooter. Stewart and Kopp aren’t on that level.

Lol this started by you saying they aren’t upgrades over Franklin and Durham, and you changed the argument to them not being as good of shooters as Sasha.

They are significant upgrades over Franklin and Durham, and Parker Stewart is just as good of a shooter as Sasha. 39% from 3 as a freshman in the ACC when all he was asked to do was catch and shoot (what Sasha does). All he will be asked to do at IU is catch and shoot as well.

It started when you called Kopp and Stewart great shooters lol. Stewart isn’t as good of a shooter as Sasha that’s laughable. Sasha has proved it consistently in the conference while Stewart is a wildcard. Stewart and Kopp would be our 4th and 5th best shooters but congrats on upgrading your shooting I guess.

Went to Illinois' practice today, and I just want to thank Purdue and IU for letting us have Luke Goode. He shot the cover off the ball.

Curbelo looked like the best player on the team.
