Danny Manning’s wiki bio has him as Maryland’s assistant, but I don’t think we can hire him yet.

It’ll be interesting to see MSU fans pivot from how he wasn’t good and glad he’s leaving to excited about his return.
There are a certain subset of all fanbases like that. I was in the middle about him leaving and I’ll be in the middle about him coming back. It all depends on what kind of Rocket you get, and that’s TBD.
It’s also not set in stone by any means, just a rumor circulating, with no real strong backing.

Still waiting for our 3rd assistant to be named as well. In all likelihood it will be Buzz Williams' former right hand man, Jamie McNeilly. McNeilly has a 4-star nephew he recruited to A&M, Cashius, and he also recruited Emanuel Miller who averaged 16/8 last season.
Trying to figure out if you're more Michigan or Indiana for this hire. Who's the X's and O's guy and who's the recruiter? Or are you going an Indiana/Michigan hybrid where they're both the recruiter and you don't have any Martellis or Woodsons?

We are a football school now. Just landed a top 50 player yesterday that we stole from OSU.
He’s got a terrific staff around him that have all had success at the college level. He will be fine. His NBA coaching past is already becoming a common theme when recruits talk about IU.
