Hunter will improve.
Terrance Williams will maybe improve. He didn't really show growth last season, but who knows.


In summary, lost a ton of talent and experience and replaced it with high upside guys with little to no power conference experience. Why would we assume the team is better unless Luka Dickinson appears?

It’s funny you say that. I take a lot of pride in my data visualization in other settings. I took a class that covered different techniques, and I’m usually pretty picky.

I think you have some really good pieces and some big unknowns. A guy in the build of Moussa, for instance, has frequently been boom or bust freshman years. Hutcherson on our team is a guy that can make us a championship contender or we finish third.

I was giving you a hard time, but it wasn’t trolling. I do believe any of the three teams can separate themselves from the other two with one piece showing out. Purdue seems like it might have a higher floor than both of us, but I think we both can beat them too.

l am firmly in the camp that Illinois and Michigan couldn’t think they will be better than last year, but I also believe it’s a legitimate possibility.

2017/18 we had to replace Derrick Walton, Zak Irvin, and DJ Wilson. We ended up still being much better.

People often focus too much on what is lost than the current roster. You don’t replace or compare Isaiah tit for tat but it’s a collective comparison and our roster is deeper and as talented as last season.

While your guess is as good as mine how the minutes shake out, this should be a deeper set of guards:

Trent Frazier will be largely who he's always been.
Da'Monte Williams will be similar to last season, but I expect a drop off in 3pt%.
Jacob Grandison will be similar to last season.
Cockburn will be better. I'd bet 20 and 11.
Andre Curbelo will be better than last year. His shot is actually good if you look at his form. I'm not sure we see it this year, but he'll be a 33%+ guy. He will lead the league in assists, and I'm guessing he'll average 13-15 ppg.

I don't think this happens because I think Jones is better than Mark Alstork, but look at his stats from a similar league and then the jump to the Big Ten. I'm interested to see if his shot is real, or if he reverts - FTs seem to indicate he should shoot well.

I was asking about the depth elsewhere though.
