EXACTLY my point! No MAJOR sports by ANY conference school. The conference glory days are behind us. Time we recognize that fact and join the movement towards SUPER conferences. Absorb the remnants of the Big 12. Try to grab UK and Vandy for their TV markets. If we cannot be a football power, then at least try for Basketball.
When I was at UM, we only filled the stadium once a season. We may be looking at those days again. Pre season top 25 in Football have OSU #3 and the NEXT Big school is Indiana at #15!!!!!!

Dafuq? We all agree that the B1G should expand, just not the sht leftover B12 teams. It should be the top ACC and/or PAC12 teams.

I’m not sure who or what you think you’re arguing against, but no one thinks the best move is to stand still. Expand with the right teams and markets. The Big Ten is the safest alternative to the SEC, and the research side of that equation is the elephant. It isn’t going anywhere.
Raid the PAC 12. Coast to coast.
Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Colorado pod would be pretty nice.
I wouldn’t mind adding Washington and Stanford as well. 20 teams.
Add 4 ACC/B12/ND schools and go 4 pods of 6 and have a semi-final and championship game.
Not a sport but the Big Ten has won The Who makes the most money contest every year for a generation and that’s what expansion is about. Adding a remaining B12 school would almost assuredly mean less money for the existing schools. Want a Super Conference then add UW, Oregon, Stanford, USC, UCLA, Arizona, Utah, Colorado , UNC and UVA. That gives you 24 with 4-6 team pods from coast to coast and it would be contiguous. Adds a lot of value and maintains the academic integrity.

Under previous leadership- no way. Current yes, the easiest path is the likely outcome.
1) Mizzou would be stupid to leave the SEC.
2) they add nothing of value to the Big 10. Illinois adds the StL market, and Kansas would be a better option for the KC market.
3) their academics are a joke.
So you think adding B12 leftovers, fixes the B10's championship drought? Adding B12 leftovers turns the B10 into a "basketball power"? Sure adding UK helps in hoops---but it changes little, TBH.
Vandy? They'd certainly help in baseball....But thats it.
TV Market? Dude, you act as if Nashville and Lexington are 700 miles away. Adding UK/Vandy does little, if any for TV.
