How is that a fact? What if they have a big name booster that said he would pay Garcia $1m to endorse his company if he came?
They don’t. It’s clear you have no idea what the market value is on these kids.

Anthony Davis got around 200k to go to Kentucky.

Cliff Alexander go roughly the same.

No booster is paying Garcia a million dollars to be there 3rd big man…

Lol no it appears YOU don’t know what the market value is on these kids. You are using Anthony Davis and Cliff Alexander RUMORS to justify your position. It’s a dumb point. Plain and simple, UNC is going to outpay a school like Illinois every time.

I fully expect TJD to make $1M+ this year.

Lol If you think that’s all there is to it, I’ve got beachfront property to sell you.

Trust fund kids aren’t always overly demonstrative with their wealth and have normally had it their entire lives, so theyre accustomed.

not saying all athletes will do this, but I wouldn’t be surprised if quite a few that come into new money proceed to buy the standard signs of opulence within the hip hop community- expensive cars, jewelry and clothes…and In doing so make themselves viable targets for robbery etc

I know it may not be a PC thing to say, but it’s a possibility that kids should think about. Their security needs to be paramount
Be careful, you're getting spittle all over that dog whistle.

I didn’t say that’s all there is to it. I said that’s a major way in which they will earn income. They will also get real endorsement deals as well with random businesses.

Getting Garcia and Cockburn was wishful thinking eh?
Yes. It’s been that way since Bill Self left town.
Kofi isn’t going to Kentucky.

It has nothing to do with UNC being better than Illinois brand wise. They lied about how much he’d make and was 4 to 5 times any other school. Outliers like that are lies, bud.

End of the day, I’m not that worried about Garcia.
In my honest opinion Garcia would’ve made Illinois’ potential higher than Kofi’s. Kofi raises the floor significantly compared though.

He’s huge on social media. 1.7 million tiktok followers and ever video he puts out gets about 1-2 million views. His girlfriend has 2.4 million followers.
That will do it haha. People completely under estimate the power of social media when it comes to making income .

Apparently Rocket Watts is having hip surgery and was playing through the injury last year. Could explain his struggles, but you would think he would have gotten it taken care of.

Kid looked good against Illinois the last time we played you guys.

You think the injury played a part in him transferring?

He was a net negative in like 90% of our games. 33% from the field and 25% from 3 for a guy who started a lot of games is horrible. If he doesn’t make improvements he’s addition by subtraction, but I still think he has the potential to be a good player, he’s shown it.

Maybe, I doubt it. There was pressure from his camp to transfer.

Currently arguing with some home boarders that think our freshman would beat our returning players. I said best of 7 freshmen maybe win 1.
