And yes, an Elite 8 is an Elite 8. I don’t care what seeds a team beat to get there. That wasn’t the point of DaBull’s post. It was to point out the absurdity of a Purdue fan discrediting tournament results because of not beating anybody.

Painter's been at Purdue, what 14 years now? Never sniffed a FF.

What teams have lost a 15 ppg scorer during the season and made the final four? I can't imagine very many at all, and I doubt very many projected 1 or 2 seeds have lost a player of that caliber during the tournament or late February. His best teams have been derailed by injury.

Plenty of teams make it past the sweet 16 despite facing adversity. And even if Purdue was the only team to ever face adversity that still leaves like 11 of 14 seasons to make up for that bad luck.
