*Official* B1G Off-season Thread

Recruiting is going very slowly for us right now. Just missed out on one of our top guard targets that was supposed to visit this weekend. I guess that's what happens when you lose two assistants....

You have to figure what they are saying is based on a norm. If that kids norm is to be 50% accurate then 50% is the players 100%. So he is around 55% committed.

Still thinking Purdue for Franklin after the newest updates, but IU is making Painter work for it.

Getting Jahmius Ramsey on campus for Hoosier Hysteria is good news. That is going to be a major weekend with TJD, Brooks, Ramsey and maybe Stewart all on campus.

Even MSU's most-recognizable figures, football coach Mark Dantonio and basketball coach Tom Izzo, have had incidents involving their programs, Outside the Lines has found.
"Since Dantonio's tenure began in 2007, at least 16 MSU football players have been accused of sexual assault or violence against women, according to interviews and public records obtained by Outside the Lines. Even more, Dantonio was said to be involved in handling the discipline in at least one of the cases several years ago.

Makes sense. I like our chances and love that we can finally use football games as a legit recruiting tool for basketball after the Haze era.

I don't understand. Using football games as a legit recruiting tool? For basketball players? At Purdue? Assuming you mean the environment will be hype kind of thing. I mean, I get it, but not sure Purdue football is gonna move the needle for any major recruits.

Did y'all update your stadium? Did I make that up or did I hear it somewhere?

He isn't going to go to Purdue because of the atmosphere at the football game tonight...Just saying. IU would never get a recruit they took to a football game if that was the case.

But, you didn't mention about the new information about Izzo.

What is the "new" information?
I posted the text also. According to otl, they've acquired new information about an assistant coach being charged with hitting some girl in a bar. Then later he was charged with sexual assault I believe. According to the article, nothing was done during the first incident, but not sure about the 2nd one because they didn't say.

My support for Izzo has always been because no one had been charged, so not sure why anyone would expect him to punish someone when no charges were filed.
