Indiana, end us please, TY.

Iowa's last 4 meetings against Purdue:

--Trailed by as many as 21 (home loss)
--Trailed by as many as 39 (road)
--Trailed by as many as 26 (road)
--Trailed by as many as 37 (home)

The formula to beat Iowa is have a tall Center, make the wide open 3's that their porous defense gives up, and be Purdue.

I saw a stat that in the two games this year against Purdue, Iowa has only led for 54 seconds of the 80 minutes of game time.

Is it really surprising that Iowa is complaining when they finally don't get referees gifting calls at home? That's what their team looks like when the game is called evenly and they aren't hitting shots.

Making a limp dick like Connor McCaffery shoot 8 3-pointers is a recipe for success. If he gets lucky and makes 50%, then so be it.

Fran's his coach. How could he not be frustrated. I'm sure it adds up.
They even did have a couple gifted to them Wieskamp just fell down one time and instead of calling a travel the ref gave Trevion his third foul. & wieskamp is the one complaining about the refs after the game of course.

Holy shit that rivals Maryland’s stat of only leading for 5:54 of the last 160 minutes of game time.
So the Terps have been doing their best to prevent Turg's magnum opus, but Turg is inevitable.

He's going to tie for the B1G, lose in the first round of the b1G tourney, and second round of the ncaa. That would be just enough to keep him around a few more years.

Need to get to Saturday to feel confident, IMO. Would get them to 6 Q1 wins most likely, depending on how Iowa shakes out.

My thoughts were 19 wins gives them a decent chance, 18 I don’t think does it but who knows with the way the bubble is. Purdue has that Nebraska game looking at them right in the face.

They won’t lose their first game because that will probably be against Iowa

Our talent and other teams shitting the bed down the stretch of games has really masked the issue of coaching in the month of February.

But that's the thing. I don't don't think you want the Big Ten officials calling it close in the post. If they do (and do so consistently), Garza is probably in foul trouble every game.
If you're thinking of offensive fouls, no.......

If you're thinking of defensive fouls, then..............still no. I have watched Iowa play more than you. You're welcome.

Agreed. But if a team goes 19-15 with 12 wins against league foes, I have a hard time seeing how that's not enough in a vacuum. Obviously the bubble is going to change some over the next 10 days, though.

If my girlfriend got me dance lessons, it might be over.

Otherwise, agree w/ the sentiment here. That's good stuff to break up the monotony of the work week. For her birthday, I opted against the airbnb and instead got us concert tickets to a band we love (Allah Las -- highly recommend).
My girlfriend and I have been hooked on Allah Las since I read this, so I should thank you for the recommendation.

181-136 in two games SmokinSmile
against a team that was W/O 2 of their better players, update on injuries
Kriener ended the game with a hyper-extended knee day by day.
Pemsl suffered a leg injury day to day.

Kriener was on the excercise bike when not in the game. geez the injuries keep coming.

reporters were writing about how physical the refs let Purdue play last night.

one last Boadreaux is still pisses about Fran pulling his offer. someone posted his stats vs Iowa vs his avg stats, there is about a 10 point pg higher difference.

after the game Iowa is still tied for 5th which is where they were going into the game.

as for my preseason prediction before all the injuries. they were
20-11 overall, 11-9 BT 7 seed
now
20-10 overall
11-8 BT
possible 6 seed but they are a 5 seed. till they will be announced.
7 top 25 wins the most by any D1 team
8 quad wins only 2 have more with 10 each.

again they have exceeded 99.9% of EVERYBODY EXPECTATION. there are a few mor**'s that are complaining about something they have no clue about. or refuse to acknowledge just how beat up this team is. they came out of last nights game with Kriener and Pemsl injured.

pretty soon they will be starting walk on's and a certain poster will bit** because Iowa is not winning or playing at the level he demands.

3 teams have more quad 1 wins. Wrong again, as usual. And two have 11. One with 10. Can you just get a post 100% factual once in awhile?

my man, nice.

Since you like the Allah Las, I do recommend The Growlers as well. A little weirder, but very good. We're seeing them live in Boulder next week.
I'll check them out. Are you seeing them at Red Rocks?

They were getting their asses handed to them prior to those "injuries".

Sure was refreshing to see an evenly reffed game at Iowa, for once.

Nope, seeing the Growlers at the Boulder Theater, and saw the Allah Las at the Gothic in Denver.

My brother and I just bought Red Rocks tickets for the Black Keys for my parents as their anniversary present. I love their stuff up through Brothers, they've kinda sucked since. But it should be fun, and I think it'll be a show that the parents will enjoy. Especially if they play their older, more raw and blues-rock stuff.

Been to Red Rocks 3 or 4 times, and have realized you have to be a little picky with who you see there. I went to Mac Demarco there (who I recommend) and Beck, and both shows were not good b/c those folks didn't really have the sound for the place. When I saw Jurassic 5, it was a freaking blast. Think the black keys should do well there.

What injuries did Iowa have? I don’t remember them having these detrimental injuries outside of Jesus.
1st starter that was lost was Nunge to a ACL
2nd starter was Jordan to hip surgery
Fredrick missed 6 games to a foot injury
Patrick was lost due to recurring side affects to Cancer Surgery

at the beginning of the season there were 12 players on scholarship now these
SR Kriener who suffered a extended knee injury last night [hoping he can play vs Illinois
RSJR Pemsl leg injury last night [ hoping he can play vs Illinois.
these are the scholarship players that are healthy [although bruised and beat up]

RSSR GT Evelyn
JR Garza
RSSO Connor
SO Wieskamp
RSFR Fredrick
FR Toussaint
RSJR Till who played his last game in Carver last night, [was given a 1 year scholarship before the season]

Iowa has gone from 12 healthy scholarship players down to just 6 healthy scholarship players.

now tell me who else has been that decimated by injuries this season and are still a lock for the NCAAT?

When did that change as the paper listed all the teams with quad 1 wins. there were only 10 quad 1 wins reported. and just 2 teams.

The Black Keys vinyls are a frequently played in my living room.
