Tillman had four offensive rebounds tonight.

Teske has two rebounds total in the last two games.

There was a debate about these two oh three months ago or so ITT IIRC
Not even UM fans are arguing that. Tillman is head and shoulders better. Better scorer, rebounder, more efficient, and should take home DPOY in the Big Ten.

Been perma banned from there quite a few times.

I am too much for them. JBo's dad got me banned this last time, lol
Haha awesome. I don’t go that far. No disrespect to the coaches, players, or any of the GBI staff (the staff is great). I just can’t help being a dck to some of the posters.

Rebounding is positioning. They did a good job.

Your guys were hanging on for dear life every time he caught the ball in the post. If he had Garza on his jersey, he'd have fouled your team out.

As proof of for stupid that logic is, if *name your big man* is so big, why'd our 6' backup point guard have 7 boards?
YOu make some of the worst takes I have ever seen on here. Even your own agree. Secondly, our, nor your 6' PG outrebounded our big--TJD. He had 12. But I didn't expect you to understand.

Boilers need 3 to feel good going into selection Sunday

even then it’s not a guarantee

Can’t have any surprises in the conference tourneys

Oh we fvcking suck. I said this was coming and yet I’m still disappointed
I still think you guys will be tough as nails, in the NCAAT. Dude, the Big 10 is merciless. You go on the road, the home team gets it going, and ****----it can snowball quickly.

Here's what the last 10 CPOTY's teams did in conference play:

2019- Cassius Winston, MSU (Champions)
2018- Keita Bates-Diop, OSU (t-2nd)
2017- Caleb Swanigan, Pur (Champions)
2016- Denzel Valentine, MSU (2nd)
2015- Frank Kaminsky, Wis(Champions)
2014- Nik Stauskas, Mich (Champions)
2013- Trey Burke, Mich (t-4th* 5th seed in B10)
2012- Draymond Green, MSU (co-Champions)
2011- Jajuan Johnson, Pur (2nd)
2010- Evan Turner, OSU (co-Champions)

So to answer the question.....YES, a team has had a CPOY and not finished top 4 (seeding-wise) in the conference. Most recently is Trey Burke from Michigan, and that team went on to the National Championship game after losing to Wisconsin in the 2nd Round of the B10 tourney..........

A few other notes:
- Assuming Garza has it locked up, he will be the first Iowa player to win the award in its current iteration, which has only been around since 1985

- Only two other players have have won the award twice (Jim Jackson of OSU, and Mateen Cleeves of MSU), so Garza could have that opportunity should he return next year, if he wins.
Cassius Winston is also in the running and could be the 3rd if he manages to win it this year.

- Also, the worst team, thus far, to produce a CPOY was Ohio State in 1987 when Dennis Hopson won the award. OSU finished 6th in the Big Ten that year.............

- Iowa has had 3 B10 MVPs (Chicago Tribune Silver Basketball Award- discontinued after 2007) prior to this season, with the last coming in 1968 (Sam Williams).

Tillman is our team MVP this year. He brings in it big games on both sides of the ball.

You know what Rutgers needed? A beat down of Maryland in the RAC and they got it.

It's un-American to think Rutgers won't be in the NCAA. They won't even need to play in Dayton.

All Texas did was more or less swap spots with Oklahoma on the bracket.....
Rutgers isn’t on the bubble you fvcking imbecile. Christ

He plays for Iowa. What do you expect?

No one in the Big Ten is more physical than Garza.
Which is why the refs have allowed teams to be physical when guarding him, rather than rewarding Garza for being stronger than his opponents.

It's quite an unfortunate change from the way Big Ten officials were calling games earlier this season. But they have their reasons.....................

I’ll feel pretty good with 2 more. But yeah if they get 3 more then they’re an absolute lock.

Your lack of self-awareness is Gil-like. Hooking you is child's play, and you don't have the capacity to recognize it.

Nice appeal to the masses. Might want to look that logical fallacy up. Cmore playing devil's advocate doesn't make you right. He takes the softest position on every single stance to attempt to be impartial. It doesn't make him more right or wrong. In this case it made him wrong, your scrawny bigs couldn't handle Kofi.

I think 3 is pretty close to a guarantee. 19 wins with Purdue’s metrics and with how strong the conference is? Would be riots if we didn’t make it. 18 we’ll be sweating it out on Selection Sunday.

Purdue is a physical team, but that is still no excuse for that shit coaching. Fran knew that going in and didn't adjust from the first game. Or last 3 games I should say.

I think that their “scrawny bigs” did ok against him. He had a run in the second half where he was unstoppable offensively. He needs to have more touches. That will come next year. Where Kofi owned the Hoosiers was on defense blocking shots everywhere. He didn’t own TJD. He had a good game. He owned the Hoosiers during the second half on the defensive side of the ball.

But that's the thing. I don't don't think you want the Big Ten officials calling it close in the post. If they do (and do so consistently), Garza is probably in foul trouble every game. And I doubt there is a more important player to his team in the Big Ten than Garza is to Iowa.

Joe W isn't the type of guy to bitch, so there is either something to it or he is extremely frustrated.

The only thing that stopped him when he caught it was guys helping off on the wing. Brunk fouled him almost every time he caught the ball in the post. Race Thompson is tiny in comparison. TJD didn't stand a chance 1 on 1. De'Ron Davis is literally the only guy equipped to man up to him, and even the announcers mentioned that he couldn't match up.

It's not really a contentious line to say that Kofi Cockburn physically dominated every player on Indiana with his size. That's what it means to body someone. If that bothers you, I don't know what to say.

Iowa is the king of shoving guys in the back when going for rebounds. What the **** is he talking about?
Is it really surprising that Iowa is complaining when they finally don't get referees gifting calls at home? That's what their team looks like when the game is called evenly and they aren't hitting shots.

Making a limp dick like Connor McCaffery shoot 8 3-pointers is a recipe for success. If he gets lucky and makes 50%, then so be it.

Joe W isn't the type of guy to bitch, so there is either something to it or he is extremely frustrated.

Fran's his coach. How could he not be frustrated. I'm sure it adds up.

After Purdue beats Rutgers what do they have to do in the BTT to get in?

Win one and we should be in. But more than likely we’re playing Michigan and I don’t like that matchup for this Purdue team. We’ll see though.

Its another interesting team to project. All depends on what the committee favors.
