The two are nothing a like. You know this. He didn't "crash" into the board. He tried to block the shot---Missed the ball. How do you expect him to stop his arm there?

I’m not sure what @dragonhawk1855 is thinking....Garza is the most overrated player I’ve seen in the past 20 years! He’s going to be lucky if he makes the 3rd all-big team. He probably deserves a honorable mention spot.

If its a legit attempt to block a shot. You just can't slap the backboard. If the official feels you do so , without trying to bloxk the shot----Its still not a GT. But it is a technical foul.

I think there should be a difference between touching the back board and slapping it. If your palm is flat on the back board, that should be an infraction.

In all seriousness, now that it seems like the rest of the league has figured out how to defend Iowa (let Garza get his points while not helping) they may run into a rough patch to finish out the regular season. Basically, we’re about to see his patented 2 and 7 stretch to end a season.
I don’t see a win left for them.
