*Official* B1G In-Season Thread

Was great to see a a Boiler win on the road. Solid Purdue turnout as well.

Memorial Stadium is a very nice facility, aside from the awful line management and small ass bathrooms, I really like the field and what they’ve done with enclosing their end zone.

UM football Walmart Wolverine fan base is the worst. Me being happy they get brought back down to reality by OSU doesn’t hold a candle.

MSU football is injured and sucks. This was a minor victory, and I’m happy that I won’t have to hear about UM playing for the CFP championship and the Don Brown defense for another month.

You don't think your trolling over an OSU win when MSU itself is 6-5 comes off as obnoxious?

He’s been doing this for years on here. Dude has a personality disorder and is socially inept. Can never have a normal conversation on here.

And claims we were too optimistic about Purdue going into the year without any proof of us posting anything even remotely close to that. I think the majority of opinions I saw for wins was in the 4-7 range which wasn’t far-fetched at all.

How many Purdue fans would you guess?

I care too. I’m just realistic in my expectations and can be honest about our program. The Purdue guys though came into the season absolutely believing they would build on what they achieved last year. They didn’t. And all they have left is to talk shit about IU football. It’s a sad reality I know they’re in capable of admitting.
I honestly believed we'd take a step back given the personnel losses. IF Brohm sticks around, I think we are still a couple of years away from making the next step.

Okay back from the game and probably back for the night since I’m beyond civil conversation. Tell me again how you guys struggling against the last 2 weak non-conf foes & getting your ass beat by a Purdue football again is a step forward in your program.

If Crean had a team that was hyped but lost to a team @Arkansas while using an unwise timeout late and followed that up by 2 closer-than-should be wins against jank-ass competition you would be roasting his nuts but since it’s Archie you’re willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

(Yeah I’m home and ready to troll again, let’s go.)
Might want to get a Q1 (or even Q2) win before you start talking crap to other teams. That 9 point win against MAC powerhouse Ball State truly is impressive.

MSU football is garbage. Clean house. Warner needs to be gone. I don’t want to see Dantonio coaching anymore. This is a shit show

Does @Gumbo02 off himself if that Maryland win over Texas helps get the B1G into the playoff?

Doubtful on the offing. There is a level of indifference over three potential scenarios. I will just see where the chips fall.

1 - Osu beats Nw and makes the playoff. Would have to see another Osu title, but Michigan would play the P12 champ in the Rose Bowl.

2 - Osu beats Nw, but doesn't make the playoff. Michigan ends up in a NY6 game with less pageantry, but no playoff for Osu. Perhaps this accelerates expansion to an eight team playoff.

3 - Nw beats Osu. Nw in the Rose. Osu in another NY6. Michigan probably doesn't get a NY6 and ends up in the Capital One. Michigan could say they had the best Big Ten record under this scenario of all 14 teams.

So there is no correct answer. Just let the chips fall. Nw could beat Osu. The Bucks have been playing coin flip games with everyone not named Michigan.

I think I'm still stuck going to Indianapolis this weekend because I promised the wife a trip to see her family. Might end up going to the Michigan game at Purdue.

I was just about to tag you with a cheeky comment, but then Carpenter missed the last FG, so I thought I would hold off. We are still perfectly capable of losing this game.
My buddy texted me: if we have to end the streak, this year isn't the worst time to do it.
My reply: esfy.

European Stone Fruit Yellows?

That's the only result I got for that acronym.

I assume the last two letters stand for **** yourself?

Find a post where any Purdue poster was overly optimistic about our season. I doubt you can (not including @Mgkcbb since he’s a huge homer).

Cant figure out why you thought tagging me, rather than just spelling out my name in nornal text, was necessary here.

Am I supposed to be responding to this post in some way or something? Very confused.

St Elmo's is overrated and overpriced.

Overrated maybe depending on who you talk to but not really overpriced. I’ve never left disappointed and if you go on Sundays they have a hell of a deal: 3 shrimp cocktail, filet, sides, and a cheesecake desert for for like $40. Sure there’s better high end steak houses but it’s very solid.

Also any Purdue folks hearing the same about Brohm? Louisville might not have the money to pay him, but OSU does? Not a super trusted source but he does have connections. Apparently happy at PU and it’ll take a chunk to take him but OSU has reached out apparently.
