have heard both sides as recent as yesterday. i've been prepared for us to lose the guy since day 1, just hoping to get a payoff year before he bolts. 7-6 seasons are better than nothing -- and would be historic for IU -- but nothing to write home about.

Iu has to be the most inept program out of all the power 5 conferences. Its almost like you have to try haed to be by this bad. If it was just because of ineptitude then surely they would have screwed up somehow over the past 20 years and lucked into a great season eventually. Out of all the coaches they've hired, there's no way they wouldn't have accidentally lucked into hiring one of the next great up and coming young coaches. Instead, we get the Cam Camerons of the world. It all can't be just by accident!
