I mean so far he has played better than a below 100 recruit. Yes, he’s only averaging 4 points, but his is playing really good D, especially for a Freshman, and he plays hard. Smart player.I did. I expected more. I still think in time, he's going to be really good.
64 of the 124 post in the last 4 pages are by IU posters - pretty worthless by most measures. For the math challenged (IU posters are a given) that’s greater than 50% of the posts. It’s rare but I’m agreeing with Klize on this topic.
IU has a tough stretch after Illinois. @ UM and MD. Home for NB. Then @Purdue and NW. Before returning home for UM. Only game I feel real sure of is Illinois. Probably NB. IU could easily go 2-5 in this 7 game stretch. Two wins being at home vs Illinois and NB. TBH, I'd be happy with 3-4, splitting with MIchigan. Which I think is doable. 4-3 is doable as well.Unlike last year, where MSU got the benefit of the draw, MSU plays one of the toughest schedules in the Big Ten this year.
We will lose a lot more games than last year but still may end up with a similar seed.
I'm impressed you were able to count that high....... Be honest...your neighbors helped.64 of the 124 post in the last 4 pages are by IU posters - pretty worthless by most measures. Really, IDK. I guess the only game I don't hink we win is @ Michigan. Other than that, I do think we can win the others. One thing for sure, we will know more about IU really soon. Hopefull the 2 week break gets some guys healthy.

It took 2 minutes max...about the same amount of time it takes to get a Big Mac for me and two happy meals for my grandsons at the drive thru. LaughingI'm impressed you were able to count that high....... Be honest...your neighbors helped.

My worry is the bad starts. IU can get away with that versus Jacksonville, Cental Arkansas, etc, etc.... But not so much with the likes of Michigan, Maryland and yes, Purdue. Cannot fall behind 12-4 on the road.
5-3 would be really good. I'm think ing more like 4-4. Stealing one at Purdue, NW or MD. Sorry, we ain't winning @ Michigan. And not so sure we beat them in Bloomington.
Is this while on or off the clock? Either way, I'm sure McDonalds is proud of ya.WinkingIt took 2 minutes max...about the same amount of time it takes to get a Big Mac for me and two happy meals for my grandsons at the drive thru. Laughing
Under Archie, who? I don't care about who IU has beaten in the past. Its irrelevant to this year. We struggled to beat UL at home. But you ain't worried about a very, very good Michigan team?Indiana beats a lot of teams that have been better than them at home. As long as this team is healthy I’m not worried about the game in Bloomington

Ok.
If you gave me 4-4 right now-----I'd jump all over it. Puts us at 15-5, 6-4. I'll take that. Look, I think this IU team could be really good. But we have shown no ability to perform w/o Morgan. So we are a 2nd, 1st half foul away, from being in a lot of trouble versus anyone other than Rutgers/Illinois. This team has shown some fight, some grit. But they haven't done anyting close that makes me feel comfortable with a game versus Michigan. Regardless of where its played.

I'm more of realist than you think.....I like this IU team. Still think we could win 22-23 games. Could be more. Still think IU could be really good. But the Big is better than expected. SO winning on the road is going to be tough. Sure we could win at NW, PU or MD. But it ain't a given. ANd IU isn't good enough to excpect such. As for playing you guys? As of now, I think UM has shown it's the class of the Big 10. I honestly think you guys could go 19-1, or 18-2. I think at worse, UM goes 16-4. So to say your not worried about playing Michigan, is just silly.Talk about alternate universe!
3-5 would be worst case scenario. You think we're going to lose every tossup game? Maryland just lost at home to Seton Hall, you don't think that game is winnable? Northwestern lost at home to an unranked Oklahoma, that game's winnable too. Purdue has lost to every decent team they've played, that's a tossup game as well. I think IU at least has a chance against Michigan at Assembly Hall. 3-5 would be terrible, it's about time IU started winning some of these games on the road, no more excuses.Vs Illinois

I think all our games are winnable. I just don't think we win them all. I know NW lost at home to Oklahoma. They also took MIchigan to the wire at home. I know MD lost at home to Seton Hall. Thats the same Seton Hall that beat Kentucky. Purdue hasn't lost to every decent team they've have played...They beat MD at home. You don'ty think those dudes willbe up for IU? C'mon, man. Look, the Big 1o is really good. 7 Top 25 teams. This team isn't good enough to expect road wins. Especially at places like MD and Purdue. I agree its time to start winning those types of games. No more excuses. BUt..........wihat if ther "excuse" is, we just aren't good enough? I mean, dude---theres some really good teams in the league. And I do feel IU is one of them. But so far, I haven't seen anything that makes me feel comfortable. Like I said, I would take 4-4 right now, call it a day, and move on. We shall see. Hopefully IU proves me dead ass wrong.3-5 would be worst case scenario. You think we're going to lose every tossup game? They should go 5-3 in this stretch, anything less is disappointing.

16-4 sounds good to me. Who knows, though. We struggled with western Michigan and only beat NW by 2. Play like that against Indiana, MSU, etc. and those will be losses. 16-4 still gets us to 27-4 going into the postseason which is pretty sweet.
16-4 would be impressive.
You're also assuming IU isn't going to improve, they have 11 days before their next game, there is still a lot of room for growth on this team. They are still learning how to win and they've beaten some solid teams. If Devonte shows up that gives us 3 damn good scores and most nights we will have 2 of the best players on the floor.I think all our games are winnable. I just don't think we win them all. MArquette ain't Michigan.Marquette and blew their doors off.
Louisville is a much better team than he's giving credit for as well. Beating a solid Butler team away from home ain't too shabby either.Marquette and blew their doors off.
They don't HAVE to beat Michigan, you're assuming we lose to Northwestern, Maryland, Purdue, and getting swept by Michigan. That would be an absolute disaster.MArquette ain't Michigan.
MArquette ain't Michigan.
It’s a Friday night in Bloomington, I have a flight booked to be there (work pending)...IU isn’t losing.
Michigan could very well be ranked #1 by then, certainly top 3. It's going to be a hell of a game, can't wait.Boooooo
Boooooo
Flipping an OSU recruit doesn't make you nationally relevant, but beating them does.13-12 record makes you nationally relevant?
Purdue became a national story because the guy might leave. Indiana flipped an OSU recruit does that make them relevant?

I'm pretty sure Minnesota just scored again, that game wasn't even close. Not in the same season you lose to Eastern Michigan and Minnesota
Oh, I think we improve. Hopefully part of that is RL hitting jump shots. If he does....THis team really gets better. I understand Miller is a different beast. My days of having Crean in the rearview are well gone. They left when he left. Still doesn't mean this team wins at Purdue, MD or NW. I've seen some really good Indiana teams go into those places and struggle. And not just Crean led teams. You're also assuming IU isn't going to improve, they have 11 days before their next game, there is still a lot of room for growth on this team. I think it's time we put the Crean days in the rearview mirror, a lot of fans seem to have those teams in mind when making predictions. Archie is a different level coach and I think he's going to have them ready to play. Defense travels and ours is ranked #18 by Kenpom. Outside of the Michigan road game I think we will be in every game. It's just going to depend on how we execute down the stretch and so far we've done a good job in those situations.
Hope you are right. I mean I wouldn't be shocked if IU won. Not at all. But I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't. Michigan is really good. ALot can change between now and then. So who knows. It’s a Friday night in Bloomington, I have a flight booked to be there (work pending)...IU isn’t losing.

I like this IU team. I love how we are defensively. What I don't like is how e react when Mrgan goes out. Its a dicey situation going into games knwoing that if Morgan picks up some early fouls, we are in trouble.
Like i said, I'd be happy with 4-4. And nothing wrong with that. Big 10 is really good.
