And @NC_Trojan10 was adamant that Gillis would never be the same player again for Purdue just like BigFan is saying. Having just remembered that, I’m now 110% certain it’s him.
Jesus, I really didn’t want to get into this, but I’m still drinking so OK. First, you said Gillis “wouldn’t be ready” for the beginning of the season. Wrong, he is a month away from being fully cleared. Then you tried to say Wheeler played with two bigs on the floor this past season. Wrong. Even before that, you took exception to Newman being known for his shooting when literally every recruiting profile starts off glowing about his shooting ability.
Not every aspect of a team is set in stone before the season plays out. I guarantee that your biased thought process last year when looking at Purdue’s 4 spot would have been, “Purdue won’t be good because they have no one at the 4. Eifert is a walk on, Boudreax is unproven at the B1G level, and Wheeler hasn’t played in a game in over a year.” Well, it worked out really well this season. Going into next season, if Purdue’s biggest unknown is who will play 10 min a game at the backup four spot (maybe a four star recruit?), I’ll take it every day of the fcking week. Hell, the game is more and more position-less now. We could play four guards for those few min as far as I know. Either way, there are much bigger problems that a team could have. For instance, who is going to start at three of the positions on a squad returning players (and not even their best players) that tanked in conference and scraped into the NIT? Beyond that, who are the proven backups on that team?
Most people on your boards are confident he will redshirt. The kid hasnt played in a very long time. It's not a stretch.
Gillis likely wont play for you this season. Wheeler definitely played with two of Eifert, Haarms, Williams, or beoudroux on the court at the same time during Purdue's season this year. He mostly backed up Eifert however.
FFS, we also had Tommy Luce in the lineup during the season, but that doesn’t mean sht. Wheeler played 95%+ of his minutes backing up the four with one big at the 5. Just fcking stop. When we played two bigs, it was three guards, not Wheeler or Eifert.
1) WTF are you talking about? We are fully preparing for Gillis to come in at 100% and compete for minutes. ALL indications are that he is very close to being fully healthy.
2) I would highly doubt that the majority of our free board (cesspool just like every other free board) really think that Mason will RS.

One of the freshman bigs were going to redshirt. Most thought it would be emmanuel dowuona. Below is what I said before last season. And what does EB have to do with Gillis? Also lol at referring to a free board.
Exactly, we could go on his free board (fck that) and get some seriously bad takes, but we obviously wouldn’t say that those takes are representative of SNU, Klize, and the true fanbase.
