I am sure that is true since you are an Indiana fan. Having a .500 football team and a basketball team make the the elite 8 is something you have never seen in the same year.

I was 8 the last time it happened but IU football is one of the worst in the country, i'm not going around bragging our paying our coach almost $5mil a year if he does.

It's adorable to see the joy in IU fans eyes when they think Romeo will return, or Bell will commit to IU after he had signed an LOI to Purdue, or Brohm leaving for Louisville, or when IU was going to win more tournament games than Purdue.

I've only thought two of those would actually happen and that was in late December but its good to see I still get to people.

yes Cook was the most athletic player, but there is quite the discussion about him being the best player on the team.

one thing the team won't miss is his 80 T/O's which led the team, his range shooting the ball was limited to 5'. personally I wanted him to come back as he does add a aspect to the team.

but now its time to wait on who Fran brings in as a grad transfer.
Iowa is going to be very soft without Cook. Caterpillars plays hard, and Kreiner does too, but one of those two is not good and the rest of the roster is str8 up soft.

It’s honestly amazing how rustled Purdue fans were when IU fans said the gap had closed. Most didn’t actually think he’d commit and stated so, but the PU little brothers flew off the rails like they typically do. It’s hilarious they’re still talking about it. Lol.

As for Romeo, nobody really believes he’s coming back. How many IU posters here have said he’s coming back? Not one that I’ve seen.

It’s posts like these that make me chuckle and thank God I’m not a Purdue fan. Once a little brother always a little brother.

Hyperbole much? Show me where IU fans actually think he’s coming back.

@boiler1987, @boilerzz - Just waiting for you to call out Toast for his hyperbole like you do to me every time I make a post like the above.

Pemsl is like the Lakers 6th man years ago in being the enforcer off the bench. [Kurt Rambus] [disclaimer on the spelling]

Nunge now weighs 250 lbs and won't be pushed around like was as a FR, 15 mpg he had 25 blocks good for 2nd and 21 steals good for a tie for 3rd. shooting
44.3% from the field, 75.5% from the FTL and 33.3 % from 3
32 TO's, 21 steals and 25 blocks these are some of things that Cook has never done in his career at Iowa

this where Pemsl comes in as he has 18 career starts FR stats when he was the starter from day 1.
8.9 ppg 4th on the team, 5.0 rpg, 25 steals, 24 blocks shooting 61.7% from the field led the team
then as a SO off the bench 144 rebounds 107 defensive. 3rd on the team.

Cooks number will be replaced his athletic abilities not so much.

You were hoping that the gap had closed when he had in fact signed an LOI to play at Purdue. If you think that's big brother behavior, more power to you buddy.

At the time, we posted that here because it was said on Peegs. You got your panties ALL bunched up over a comment that the gap had closed. Even though essentially everyone said he was still Purdue bound. You didn't know he signed. Neither did we.

Just admit it. You got super rustled over that comment. Still are super rustled over that comment. Just own it man.

This hyperbole pales in comparison to some of the gems you’ve had over the years. Purdue football fans thinking they were Alabama was one of my favorites.

There's an Iowa player that is considering transferring to other teams in conference or stay put this weekend.

Good to see you’re cool with Purdue guys posting hyperbole but nobody else. Can’t really say I’m surprised.

Your back court is still super soft. Replacing Cook with Pemsyl and Kreiner is not good. And Nunge looked like he wanted to float around the 3 pt line - not bang down low.

If you can't see what is actually going on with these two comments that is on you.

Also, I can own it when I make bad takes. The ones below were hilariously wrong. I'm still laughing that you thought the gap had closed, and are still defending that position. Total big brother move to hope that you can get a player that's signed to Purdue.

I think Boudreaux is going to be a 12 and 8 type of guy, playing some 4 and the backup 5.

Tough loss for IU but what I saw confirms my belief that they’re a 5 seed type team

Will Boudreaux be in the rotation next year or has that pretty much sailed?

I don't see where he fits in. He's so far behind Tre and Haarms, who both still have plenty of room to develop. We have a need backing up the 4, but Boudreaux was too slow to play the 5 (and was arguably the slowest player I've seen at Purdue) so I don't think that's feasible. He's physically out classed in the B1G.

Hey @Toast., please make sure you continue to bring us back to reality. Romeo still hasn’t signed with an agent. Some people think that might be leaving the door open to return. They believe it’s like a 1% chance, but they sure could use you keeping them straight.

Thanks man. Big help.

I'm sweating this one out. If he returns, IU may have a shot at the right side of the bubble.

he was playing the 3 and he even had 5 starts at the 3 with 2 starts at the 5, at 6'11 225 lbs. now he is 7'+ 250 lbs and has been working at the 5 @7'0 Tall, Nunge will never play the 3 again,

Nunge has been projected to be the stretch 4 like these in the past
7'1 Lohaus under Dr. Tom, 6'10 Street, 6'10 Bullard, 6'10 Bowen 3 had long careers in the NFL only Street never got the chance.

With Nunge at the 5 and Garza at the 4 they could be the next Waite and Kraficism under Lute that went to the shared BT Championship and then as SR, went to the FF,

soft not hardly young and under weight is more like it [emphasis on the weight.]

There's an Iowa player that is considering transferring to other teams in conference or stay put this weekend.
who is this player? as there as nothing been said or even talked about. the only player that is in the transfer portal is SR to be Dailey and Cook has hired a agent for the NBA draft.

Yeah man. I think I speak for a lot of people here saying we’re all worried about Purdue next year. Well, as long as Eastern and Haarms don't declare for the draft. Laughing They got everyone worried. Lulz

All these two posts have done is remind me that:
(a) IU has a 1% chance of Romeo returning / making the NCAA tourney
(b) Haarms averaged more points than anyone IU returns

Haarms and Green both avg 9.4ppg per ESPN.

Brohm to UofL and Indiana winning more tournament games than Purdue. At the time it wasn't hard to see either happening. At the time.
Pretty sure @Toast. was referring to a couple IU posters saying they wouldn’t be surprised if IU would win more tournament games than Purdue like 3 weeks ago. That was right before IU got beat by OSU in the big ten tournament.

I think most folks simply assumed Brohm to UL would happen even though there were a lot of reasons why he’d stay at Purdue.

No “to be fairs” or “at the time” allowed. Shit takes. Own them.
