Its a $4mil difference in from 20th to 10th for the first 3 years. I'm not sure what the back end of avg NBA players contract looks like. Also not sure of the difference between this year and next year. But i'm sure thats something being considered.

$5mil difference in this years 20th to next years 10th. $10mil difference from 20th this year to 5th next year.

Just depends on his risk tolerance I guess. I’d be too big of a puss and take the money. I wouldn’t want to take the chance that:
a) I get hurt
B) I don’t improve my draft slot
c) I hurt my draft slot
D) I lose out on a year of earnings + investments from that money

But you never know with some guys, I was shocked when Miles Bridges came back. Everyone has different priorities.

Yeah hard to say what I'd do as i only have an outsiders view. I'm sure all that is being taken into consideration.

Romeo should be able to take out an insurance policy if he does decide to come back, like Bridges did. That helps answer the "what if I get hurt" question.

Bridges definitely left some money on the table, as he was drafted around the same spot as he would've been drafted as a freshman. So he might've made slightly more as rookie scale goes up ever year, but he then had one less year of earnings. But he wanted to come back. He wanted a chance to win something / be remembered for while at MSU. Won a B1G regular season and then had a shitty NCAAT run, but like he said in numerous articles; you only get a chance to play in college once.

No, like literally a finanacial mistake from wasting a year not making money, even if he marginally improves his draft spot.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I hear ya on missing out on a year of earnings is big. However, he could jump from 15th to 10th and I wouldn't be shocked. That's a little under a $1M in pay each year. That's a good difference and he would pretty much overcome the lack of earnings for a year in the first three years of his contract if he went 10th instead of 15th.

You missed IU fans being triggered that other B1G schools pay their football coaches market value, instead of going cheap and hiring a high school coach. So not much, honestly.
IU fans have known this for years....Not sure why that would trigger anyone.

I’ve never seen a .500 football team and an elite 8 make a fan base so cocky before.

I am sure that is true since you are an Indiana fan. Having a .500 football team and a basketball team make the the elite 8 is something you have never seen in the same year.

will Iowa get to the level of a Duke or Kentucky, probably not as for competing for National championships. most teams have that ability, under the right conditions.

I think they will be real good however they lost a really good player.

yes Cook was the most athletic player, but there is quite the discussion about him being the best player on the team.

one thing the team won't miss is his 80 T/O's which led the team, his range shooting the ball was limited to 5'. personally I wanted him to come back as he does add a aspect to the team.

but now its time to wait on who Fran brings in as a grad transfer.
