the only rumor that I read is he may test the NBA again and nothing more. this will be his 4th year as a starter, other than the NBA there is no reason for him to leave.

Joe was in his 1st season and ended up with stats like these
11.1 ppg, its also not just about scoring, 2nd in rebounding with 172, 31 steals 3rd on the team, 16 blocks, shooting 48.8% from the field. 42.4% from 3 and 76.7% From the FTL. Joe was a big reason why Iowa improved from 242 to 111th in adjusted defense, he was the ultimate team player. not bad on a team with these as 4* players by Rivals and ESPN,

Joe Wieskamp. A good player. I think worthy of his top 50 ranking. Do I think he is deserving of being, say, top 20. No, he’s not. He’s a solid player and will be good for Iowa, and may in the future develop into a really good player. But I’d say he was ranked correctly.
Again, he was the 4th option on a bubble team. And yes they almost beat Tennesee, but they were still on the bubble.
Ohio State picked up an intriguing big man today ( Ibrahimi Diallo ). Have my doubts he’d be a big contributor next year but perhaps he’ll develop. Seems to have all the physical tools you’d want but think he’s only played a year or two.

I don’t believe Osu was ever a consideration for Brunk but yes I believe barring a surprise departure Osu’s 2019/20 roster should be set.

I’m not as impressed with Adidas AAU circuits because there is less high level competition. Almost no highly ranked recruits play Adidas circuits. You are citing all these things where he was ranked top ten, but not every prospect did it!
When compared to every prospect, he ranked 42. That’s good. He’s a good player. But Joe Wieskamp is not a 5 star prospect. He’s not a one and done player, which is good for Iowa!
Look, Gil, I’m not hating on Iowa or hating on Joe, I think he’s a great young player in the Big Ten. He came in a high 4 star. Which I think was correct. He’s not a 5 star player. If he was, he wouldn’t be the 4th option on a middle of the pack Big Ten team.

He’s not a 5 star one and done prospect. He’s already ranked 42, which is good. That’s all I’m saying.
