Very strange. I just assumed that the lead guy for each team site had close ties with the school he is covering. I guess that isn’t the case for your Rivals guy.

Edit: Also, if the above is true, how does he still have a job? If he doesn’t have an “in” with people at the school, whether it is the AD, basketball/football ops, or coaching staffs, you guys are really getting short changed on “inside” info that you are paying for.

As long as @gowolverines8 keeps giving us Michigan info zfg

Damn that is foul
leaked in from the meat packing plant next to them.

they could bottle it put some flour in it and sell it as Catfish Bait, blood works good in catching the bigger Catfish.

make it thick enough so it stays on either a treble hook or use those pre formed bait hooks with either a foam or rubber ribbed worm.

always a bright side to most things.

Would blow the place up and move far away from Iowa and definitely not next to any type of plant

no need to move out of Iowa, but one thing I would do is build or buy a home next to a packing plant,
strange that there is such a place as the packing plant that I worked owned the surrounding 350 acres
the Tyson plant in Waterloo sits in the middle of 200 acres. so its hard to imagine any home being that close to a packing plant.

@bMORE607 - Hoosiers are coming to town. We're gonna stomp that ass this weekend.

(I don't have any faith we'll actually win on the road, purely talking shit).

The big thing I don't love is that he's not a very high substance guy IMO -- he's a volume shot taker that's a bit too much of a gunner for my liking, though he can score the ball. In AAU he put up a lot of shots and wasn't particularly efficient.

On another note, I think he's a bit of a tweener as he's a little slow for the 3, and a little small for the 4, and not really sure that makes sense for Purdue's sake.

Might sound a bit harsh, as the kid obviously has some talent and can score, I'm just not sold on him.
Painter did an in-home visit last night and offered.

If Painter is comfortable with him, then his gunner mindset is a bit less of a concern for me. I'd rather get this kid than the center we're after (Edey) though I know next to nothing about him.

My guess is Davis ends up at Louisville anyways.

Sounds like Louisville have an in with the Davis' brother as well.

19 shots a game for 24 points per game isn't really that crazy. But you know very little about basketball if you thought 23-25ppg was too much for Edwards last year. The team lost so much, so you knew he was going to shoot a lot and you knew he was a great player.
Meh----Yeah, it kinda of is. Chris Clemons led the nation in scoring---30ppg. Guess on how many shots per game? 20. Yet he averaged almost 7ppg more. Weird....

Also, I'm not so sure folks said Carsen wouldn't averaged 20+ppg. I think most were concerned if he did, it would hurt Purdue. It did, some---But for the most, it did not.

Carsen was a terrific player. But, I mean he was kinda of a chucker, bro. When he was hitting, Purdue was really, really hard to beat. When not? Well, Purdue usually lost. I guess chucker is to mean----Lets say----"he was a scorer, who shot a lot"?jumpingsmile

Purdue went through a stretch in the middle of the big ten season where Carsen couldn’t hit anything... still won most of those games and won the Big Ten.

Purdue lost 10 games. In those 10 losses, Edwards was....

Vs VaTech.........(9-24)....3-11
Vs Florida State(7-19)...3-10 from three.
Vs Michigan (7-21)....1-5 from three.
Vs Texas (15-26)...7-14 from three..
Vs..Notre Dame (8-22).......4-10...
Vs MSU.............(3-16).........2-13 from three..
Vs Maryland.....(8-27)........3-13 from three
Vs Minny (7-31)..........3-15 from three
Vs MInny...........(
Vs UVA (14-25)........10-19

Only twice did he shoot better than 40%, in 10 losses.

Overall, there was 17 games where Carsen shot less than 40%----Purdue lost 8 of those. I mean, thats not to far off from "usually"---Right?

So they won more games when he shot less than 40% than they lost. I don’t think that’s considered “usually”

he played in the fvcking Big South what the hell is your point. No, it had nothing to do with any of that. Most people said there was no chance he'd average 23-25 ppg and guess what, he did.

So he played in Big South---Whats that have to do with the number of shots he took? Settle down Nancy. No one is dissing your boy Carsen. He's a great player.

Of the 17 games, Purdue lost 44% of the time when Carsen shot
bad". I mean I guess "usually" is a tad strong? They won 9---lost 8. So can I say---"almost half the games he shot bad in ,they lost"? Or is that too close to "usually"?

But for sure I can say in Purdue's 10 losses----Carsen usually shot bad? Or is 80% not considered usually?

Man---You guys sure get nit picky when it comes to your team/players. But its crazy---You are totally the opposite when banging on a rival.

Weird.

I just think it’s a dumb statement to make from the beginning. “When your best player shoots poorly your team will struggle in comparison to when he shoots well.” No kidding. Just saying going 9-8 when he shot immensely poor like the 4-25 or whatever it was against IU is not that terrible.

Well, I mean, that doesn't always apply...I mean, I don't think Purdue struggled just b/c Carsen struggled. I think they struggled more so due to the amount of shots he was taking(in those losses). I mean having a rough, 4-15 night can be absorb if said player is dishing to others, defending well, rebounding well, etc, etc...But when a guy is going 7-31, and contributing in other aspects, that's much tougher on you as a team.

AND that was my point. Its not that he shot bad---Its how many shots he was taking.

Figured you'd maybe understand that? My bad.

Boilers look at CE through a different lens. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I just thought it's fun to poke at Boilers from time to time and see how they react.

Michigan rivals has fallen off a cliff with regards to inside info. Truth is the Michigan ad is pretty much tied to Sam Webb who is a local radio host and runs and owns the 247 um site.

ITF was a must read 10-15 years ago. I can't even remember the last time I read an article by a Wolverine staff member. I know it is just something I have already seen elsewhere on the web. I pay my 100 bucks merely for the message board tidbits.
