It’s the preseason but Carsen is fun. He won’t have another game like this year, but I like him

I mean just b/c you have a contract---doesn't mean you play. Or cannot be waived. His defense leaves a lot to be desired. Dude can score. But so can a lot of others. Can he defend? And can he score when he's scouted, and accounted for?

I like Carsen. Hope he makes it. But its the preseason. Lets see how things roll when the games count, and teams start scouting you.
 
Stevens has been raving about his defense. If anyone should be worried about getting minutes this year, it’s Romeo.

I think there's a place for a dude like him in the NBA, i.e. a specialist type of dude. He can have a long and rewarding career as such. Tonight's performance is amazing, though. And I think we'll see games where he is crazy, hair on fire hot....Then games where, well, not so much. I think that will be the norm for him.

Yeah. I mean, Yogi has a game with nine 3’s when he was with Dallas. It’s a good game, but it’s not like it’s something that’s going to be repeated night in and night out.

Actually I can talk shit whenever I want. Romeos gonna bust out of the league anyway. I give him 1 or 2 years tops before he's in the g league.

He wasn't top 50 on ESPN, Rivals, or 247. Top 60 ;).

I agree with he can be one of the better frosh in the B10, but I'm just saying the amount of weight being lofted on a kid in his position is too much. You see it every year. The year off may have helped him learn the system, but that doesn't mean he's going to perform. I've seen so many kids be labeled something in the off-season, and then the games happen.

You talking about here or other IU fans you know? People here think he’s going to help, but I don’t recall many thinking he’s gonna be an All Conference type player next year. I think one of the issues is he can knock down shots, that’s what we struggled with at times last year. So it’s easy to see how he could come in and contribute right away.

The expectation on the home board have been very reasonable for Hunter. That kid also isn’t hearing expectations from online message board fans who are thinking more.
