Unranked 3* Jok led the BT in scoring 1st team All BT

Anyone can find outliers. Of course it’s possible he improves like that but I wouldn’t bet on it. How many of those 4 redshirted their sophomore season?

Uthoff RS'd his FR season
Moss who is now playing for Kansas RS'd his FR season

when Nunge played these were the top 5 scorers
SO Cook
SO Jordan
RSSO Moss
FR Garza
FR Nunge T-5th
SO Pemsl T-5th
looks to me he is going to develop just fine. 6'9 180 lbs now 7'0+ 250 lbs as a FR he was pushed around now he can push the opponents around, can't improve RollLaughRollLaughRollLaugh won't improve LaughingjumpingsmileLaughing

Nunge couldn’t beat out Kriener. That’s all that needs to be said. And Kriener blows.

What is going on here? There are multiple posters with the name Tork Mason, and one of them's actual username is a snowboard brand (how did he get that?)
Did dude attempt to fake a convo and forget that he put both of his handles under the same name? I mean the other explanation is that there are two Tork Masons talking to each other, which seems even less likely.

hey people have you heard NBA teams are already putting package deals just so they can draft Haarms with the #1 pick in the 2020 draft. the rumor is the Lakers are going to trade Lebron and the next 3 years #1 draft picks just to get the greatest player in the World Haarms of the Purdue Boilermakers.

That’s some SNU hyperbole stupid right there

Andy Katz leaves Simpson off his top 25 players while listing 8 other Big Ten players.

Rothstein leaves Franz Wagner off his top 10 Big Ten freshman and ranking Michigan 9th.

Fvck these guys know how to rustle me

These “lists” aren’t worth getting rustled over. It’s all clickbait.

I think we established how bad some of these lists are when they first came out. Even us Purdue fans think that putting Tre at #19 is not likely at all. I could see the combo of Haarms and Tre producing all-american stats at the 5, but realistically, they may share the court for at most 5 min a game so neither will average more than 25 min a game, and that is being bullish.

Stick around. This thread could use more straight shooters like me.

What's our B1G hot seat situation? Chambers appears to be the only one that could be canned after this coming season.

I can't see Fran getting canned, but could see his seat being pretty warm if/when they miss the tourney this year.

Seems like Collins is about to have a shitstorm of a season but he bought himself a lot of time. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if he jumps ship.

I suspect that Underwood's recruiting and youth movement pays off a bit this year and he's in a very comfortable spot. Archie could make his seat really warm if he misses the tourney again.

I’d take out Underwood and Archie. Don’t think any realistic chance the “hot seat” discussion starts even if both teams under perform this coming season.

I think Collins is solid. If I were a NW fan I would wonder who they would get if they fired Collins. It’s not like they’re gonna get a top tier coach. Collins seems solid. Not great, but good for NW.

You don’t think Archie will be on the hot seat if he misses the tournament at IU for a 3rd straight year? Interesting. I would assume his seat would be hot as hell going into next season if that happens.

Pitino ended up saving his ass last year. I thought he was destined for at least the hot seat going into this season but think he’s bought some time.

Yeah his seat would be really hot if he misses it this year.

I think dumb IU fans would say he’s on the hot seat. But he’s not going anywhere any time soon. Two reasons I say this. First, because if we fire Archie after a few years, what big name coach is going to come in? And two, I don't think We can keep buying out fired coaches contracts. I’d say Archie gets his fair shot at IU.

I don't think he’ll miss the tourney this year, either.

It’s IU, a top job in the country. They would definitely attract a big name or at least another really promising rising coach.

Being on the hot seat by year 4 would be considered getting a fair shot I would think anyway. Especially at a blue blood program. Not sure about the buyout situation but that tends not to matter as much when a fan base grows tiresome. Not to mention he would probably take another job somewhere like Crean which would lessen the buyout if it’s like most other coaching contracts.

If IU has a bad season this year his seat is going to be fire ass hot going into next.

Yeah there's p much 0% chance of him getting fired after next season.

But if he misses again -- which I don't think would be particularly surprising -- his seat will be smoking going into year 4. I don't really disagree with your points, but the reality is that 3 straight missed tournaments would make a big swath of the fanbase pretty anxious.

Yeah maybe I am making too much of a difference between hot seat and the actuality of him getting fired. His seat could get super hot, but I don't think he's gonna be fired before year five/six.

  • Collins- His one tournament appearance is going to buy him extra years. He should be like 2nd on this list.
Yep. They just lost their top 3 scorers too....they're gonna suck ass this year. I just wonder how far you can ride a 9 seed season.

  1. Chambers
  2. Pitino
  3. Archie
  4. Fran
  5. Turge
  6. Pikiell/Underwood
  7. Pikiell/Underwood

  9. Holtmann
  10. Gard
  11. Howard/Hoiberg
  12. Howard/Hoiberg
  13. Painter
  14. Izzo

Agree with this list. Though I might flip Holtmann and Gard because Holtmann has shown more ability to build to sustained success in his short span while Gard has benefited from Bo's players a bit.

I feel like Wisconsin is a little more patient than Ohio State. Probably could have put Holtmann and Gard together because they could easily flip flop like the other 4 that are together.

bubble team that won their 1st rnd game and took a 2 seed into OT.

its going to be interesting to see him not playing the 3 and just playing the 4 or 5, last season they didn't need Nunge has they had these
6'9 Cook Leading scorer and rebounder
6'11 Garza 2nd leading scorer and rebounder
6'9 Kriener to back up Garza and Cook
6'7 Baer who played the 3 and 4
as the front court players
this season they will have these
7' Nunge to replace Cook
6'11 Garza
6'8 Pemsl to replace Baer
6'9 Kriener
for front court players with Pemsl and Nunge having starts. hmm replacing a starter with a starter and replacing a backup with a starter. that's a good start, Nunge is a better defensive player than Cook and is a better ball handler as Cook had 92 TO's as a JR and that is something that Iowa won't miss.

nobody had more than 60 TO's
This was posted on our board by a HerbyHawk...you sure you didn’t pay for a subscription Gil? @dragonhawk1855

Patrick was not just a scorer in HS that is pure BS, according to his AAU Coach of the Minnesota DI he can play the 1-2-3-4 and the 5 in a small lineup.
when their PG got hurt Patrick was their starting PG and the coach said Patrick was just as happy getting the assist vs scoring.
here could be Iowa's starting lineup by ESPN as 247 is worthless
4* PG 6'0 Toussaint just outside their top 100 grade 81
4* SG 6'5 Connor top 100
4* SF 6'6 Wieskamp top 100
4* PF 6'11 Garza top 100
3* C 7'0 Nunge
off the bench
4* Patrick top 100 that makes 4 top 100 4*'s and 1 4* outside the top 100, yet its the same old shit again they will finish in the bottom half.
Patrick gets shit on because he's Fran son and a blue blood didn't offer.

Jordan was a 4* just outside the top 100 but the best he got was a 2* by the great 247, all he's done is make them look like total morons with their rating of Iowa players

a note on Toussaint NYCHoops rated him the #1 PG in NY and the #2 player overall. nice piece cough BS cough.

I heard a rumor that the people who made the above two posts are different people. Do they teach everyone this posting style in Iowa City?
