The fact that we got him early and essentially only had to beat out Notre Dame (their 'in' there was likely a bit of a double edged sword IMO) was an absolute coup.
I get that it would sting, but being that close to a parent while you're trying to be a college kid could've been a factor. That would be rough.

Yep, getting him and Morton early was massive, as we were in on a decent amount of guards and the picture there was pretty murky. And I think we got the best two, who also happen to complement each other pretty damn well.

Most big name schools will have a ton of those know-it-all, casual fans who talk the most shit and know relatively little about the school they pound their chest for.
