all because AD at that time Bowlesbe fired Iowa's all time winningest coach, to think Davis was run off the year Iowa went to the Sweet 16 in fact it was Iowa's last Sweet 16 and the year of Iowa only 1 n Done 1st rnd NBA Pick in Ricky Davis, that also cost Iowa McD AA Colison who went to Kansas because of what happened,
BB also ran off Range Iowa's best player at the time, suspended the teams best player in time for the 2nd rnd loss to NCState in Thompson, claiming he was academically inilegible then when asked why Thompson was allowed to play that far into the 2nd semester then it brought out in the news he was carrying a 3.2 gpa,
when confronted he stated he misspoke that Thompson was skipping classes, this to was proved to be a lie as Thompson along with every player playing in the NCAAT was skipping classes on spring break.
BB had a vendetta when he took over as the AD for Iowa and that was run Davis out of IC because of his hatred from when Davis when asked at the time why he wouldn't schedule UNI where BB was the AD at the time
responded that he really had no reason to schedule UNI, at that time Iowa had H n H set up with UNC, Duke, Arizona, UCLA so in order to set up a game with UNI Iowa would have to give one of those up,
Iowa was a major player in the 80's thru the late 90's, BB ruined that all out of hatred,
in fact Iowa fans flat out hate BB because he refused to interview Bob Stoops for the Iowa HC job, Iowa played for Hayden and it would have at that time his dream job coaching his Alma Matter,
