hmmmm not sure I am that much a "fan" of the Celtics. I might be willing to go to the book, so we both can potentially profit off them though :)

Are their numbers confirmed yet or are they just summer team numbers they are currently wearing?
I think the numbers are confirmed. Carsen said he picked 29 because there weren’t any single digit numbers left and his brother wears 29 playing football at some school.

How do I add a tweet from Rothstein? This is his quote:

"This will be Steve Pikiell's most skilled team at Rutgers. Seven perimeter guys for three perimeter spots. Would expect large doses of small ball."

"If Rutgers emerges as a bubble team in February then Ron Harper Jr. is going to be one of the best Glue Guys in the Big Ten. 6-6 and versatile. Down nearly 30 pounds in last 12 months."

I think we are going to surprise some folks. We are pretty good.

$5: Rick Mount Glenn Robinson Jajuan Johnson Joe Barry Carroll Carsen Edwards

$4: Etwaun Moore Caleb Swanigan Robbie Hummel Troy Lewis Terry Dischinger

$3: Walter Jordan Cuonzo Martin Todd Mitchell John Wooden Carl Landry

$2: Brad Miller Keith Edmondson John Garrett Vince Edwards David Schellhase

$1: Dakota Mathias AJ Hammons Brian Cardinal Chad Austin Everette Stephens

$ Team gets a $7 additional credit if rostering this player: Ronnie Johnson

I’m sure this list sucks but being in my mid-20’s I’ve only watched a handful of these guys and I’m sure there are some glaring omissions. It was also hard to balance between guards and big guys.

But I’d go with:
C- John Garrett $2
PF- Big Dog $5
SF- Cuonzo Martin $3
SG- Etwaun $4
PG- Chad Austin $1

Anyone buying the Nebraska football hype?

I am not, because they have no clue what it takes to win in the BIG 10.

Depth is so key. Every team wants to beat you up.

Really want to trio Bias, Joe Smith with Bruno, but wouldn’t be able to grab a natural PG. If I went with those 3 I would pair Dez with DJ Strawberry for my back court.

Perfectly fine with both. Leal's shooting has been on recently.

Lander is a good one to get. Match him up with Kaufman, who can end up being the best player in the class and IU is doing pretty damn solid. A lot of time for both recruitments though.

FWIW....I had a teammate of Kaufmans from Sellersburg(its a good friend of his)over at the house a few weekends ago and i asked him what he's hearing. He said that hes concerned about the uncertainty going on at IU right now..
.also said that Purdue is at the front right now....Louisville surprisingly isn't even really out of the gate yet with him. He also said that there's a very long way to go before its over and all the local schools definitely still have a shot with him.

Take that with a grain of salt considering its coming from a 16 yr old kid.

In all seriousness, not sure how old you are, but i was only 9 when Bias died. Even at being just a 9 year old kid from Indiana....i remember i used to love watching him play.

I always like people saying what they hear But, there is zero uncertainty at IU right now. Some said Purdue was in good but others came out and said that is not the case.

Kaufman and Furst aren’t playing together so I could see that similar to Franklin/Newman last season. I also think Kaufman’s recruitment will go national and be tougher than Furst.

I could be wrong, but i took the uncertainty part to mean how crazy up and down the fanbase is right now after losing 12 of 13. Because of that stretch, if Archie doesn't do good this year a segment of the fanbase will go crazy.

I actually could see Kaufman and Furst playing together. Simply because Kaufman plays like a 3, or 4 at most right now with how good of a perimeter game he has. And Furst plays like an old fashioned back to the basket 5.

But, you're probably right on this one...however, i don't get the sense that Kaufman wants to go to far from home.

My buddies that are in the coaching circle have heard the same but it’s such a long way to go. Not to mention basically everyone from the sellersburg area are IU fans. He and those around him seem to really like Painter though.

Looks like Iowa players struggle to push 135 lbs.

doesn't look like 135 to me.
but as they say use max weight at the max reps for bulk, use light weights in max reps to gain strength, don't need a bunch of Hulks running around out there,

but hey thanks for posting that video, as it shows some of the drills and then
a quick look at a scrimmage with Troussaint running the point. wish I could figure out to do that.

One plate on the bench. 135 lbs.

One plate on the bench. 135 lbs.
but the question is how many reps, was it 25+ reps or was it just 5 reps
me I could max 250 lbs 3 reps
120 I could max 35 reps, got more out of the 120 lb 35 reps than I ever did with 250 lb 3 reps.

the reps helped with me bowling and Softball hitting with power, if I spread the reps out I could max reps 20 time in each set up to 3 times for a max of 60 reps

I liked the prancing drill. Very Iowa-esque.
that's not unique to Iowa most BB Coaches use these drills, even Baseball and FB coaches use them only the FB coaches use ropes or tires, even in military uses those techniques.

its used to get the players to lift their feet more than a couple inches off the floor/ground

Scientifically speaking, I'd die to death from this procedure and therefore couldn't run. Jokes on you bitch.
you're the bitch. just proves you've never played sports.

wonder how you would hold in what we used to call the box in FB Practice
this where they stand up 4 those tackling bags then put 1 player in the middle then the rest of the team lines up and you try to block them one at a time.

In this hypothetical, am I trying to block you?

I didn't bother watching initially because...well....it's Iowa. But since so many of you talked about it, i had to press play.

Holy sh!t, both the production quality and the athleticism look high school level. And Megabrow makes Isaac Haas look fast. Dude reminded me of....
