Time for IU to start landing some of them
I don't think that's been their problem.

I don't get it. They are basically just like UK but with better instate talent, yet UK seems to get all the better players

They are? I think they were, but I don't think they are right now. Got to produce on the court.
Nah, I think it's time to put ol' Hawkit back on ignore. I think the saying about idiots dragging you down is just as pertinent for trolls dragging you down. You try to hard. And your shit posting has hit another level. Take a lap.
Until Archie, IU didn't have food catered in for after practice. They had locker rooms that had not been renovated since Knight. The kids still lived in shitty dorms.
IU has been living in 1994 for quite awhile. UK has evolved and invested in their program where Indiana said "well if Knight could do it."
With all that Big 10 money flowing in? What do you guys do with it?

Give it back to the school and massive updates to baseball/softball/volleyball/wrestling.
Archie had made changes, the food is available, locker rooms have been remodeled in Assembly Hall and Cook Hall. The entire team is now living here https://www.evolvebloomington.com/
IU still needed donations from Oladipo and Zeller to get the locker rooms done though.
What a waste
Dude, that is bullshit. Each school has more than enough money to cover their AD and give back to the school. IU must take more than other schools.
We have remodeled Kinnick 3 times, Carver, fixed up the baseball stadium, put in a football facility, upgrade some women's sports, and overpaid coaches.
We do make a lot of money outside of the BTN though.
IU Football attendance blows, so they take a massive hit in some extra funds right there.
Nice apartments though
They are very nice. The school president plays a massive role on the funds. Mitch Daniels actually cares about sports and understands the importance of athletics to a university, especially Football. Indiana's current president McRobbie, does not understand that and gives zero shits about sports.
How about Iggy having a hell of a first game this weekend. Put up like 30pts or so.

Invest it in their football program
Look at what Northwestern is doing. Smart.
I would think they would help recruiting. Man, if you guys werent in the Big 10 East, I would say sink every dollar into football because it usually always pays off. But you guys have the deck stacked against you. Massive football schools to compete with. But you have to start somewhere. Own Rutgers and Maryland and Purdue, then target Sparty and PSU

IU might be the only team in the conference without a "football only facility" IU has done a pretty solid job renovating Memorial Stadium, and they do have one of the largest weight rooms in the country, but it includes all sports (besides basketball who has their own). Other teams use that against IU football for sure.
Glass likes to preach 24 teams 1 university bullshit, but then IU basketball literally doesn't share a thing with anyone.
Men's basketball and football should not be sharing a damn thing with any other sport.

Glass is an idiot then. Your women's tennis team is not equal to your basketball and football. Your support the Big dogs and build the revenue, then share it
And you guys gotta get an football facility. That is a must in the arms race.
don't know how other coaches can or do use that against you.
Purdue vs OSU/Michigan/PSU. No disrespect to PU but that game seems more realistic to win annually
IU just dumped a lot of money into football, Locker Room is getting renovated now, so the football only facility is not coming anytime soon without a major donation. No one is providing IU football with a major donation.
Oh no doubt it’s easier than OSU/Mich/PSU but they’ve struggled mightily in their rivalry with Purdue. Could it change? Of course. But it’ll take a lot for that to happen. They had a golden chance when we hired Hazell and didn’t take advantage of it.
Our AD is a moron from the standpoint of operations and contracts, but he understands how important our AD is and he can raise money.
Fred certainly knows to raise money. I think Fred is hamstrung by the administration above him. The overall athletic program at IU is pretty solid, but we all know which two sports actually matter.
IU was 3-0 vs Hazell...Is that not taking advantage of it?
