No better way to say it than this ^^^^^^^^. The hope is that they can at least improve and be more competitive with the better teams. The old guard need to be purged completely after this, and the young guys like Tyler Adams, Timothy Weah, Josh Sargent, etc. who have gone the European route need to keep developing and/or get healthy. Gio Reyna has a ton of potential too, and he just transferred to Dortmund. The US need to get off this MLS protectionist BS and keep encouraging the highest potential guys to go over and develop in Europe.
Edit: The guys I mentioned above are the ones that didn’t play in the Gold Cup. Obviously, the future leaders like Pulisic and McKennie who played today also need to keep improving.

So the US men made it to the semis in 1930, but I’m not really counting that. Their best finish was quarters in 2002.

He isn't going back to Europe to get used to wearing goggles. He's going back because he isn't good enough for the NBA.
he was good enough when he was drafted as he made the team and signed a contract for 3 years in his 2nd season. then his season was cut short due to being gouged in the eye that needed surgery. so yes he was/is good enough to play in the NBA. much to your hatred of anything related to Iowa,

I don't think that 3-year contract was guaranteed, and I'm not sure he was ever paid a single dollar by the Clippers. He hasn't played in a single NBA game since the 2015-16 season. 0 games in 2016-17, 0 games in 2017-18, and 0 games in 2018-19.

I posted the links already. He played 2 seasons in Orlando, and they didn't renew his contract. Then he signed with the Clippers, but they waived him before he officially made the team.

The stats you posted at for the 2015-16 season, of which I said that was the last time he played in the NBA. So he played zero games in the last 3 seasons; 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19. The last NBA game he played was on April 13, 2016 - which was over 3 years / seasons ago.

We posted up at a spot about a mile from Lake Irwin (20 miles west of Crested Butte). Setup the tent around 1:30a Wednesday morning...woke up, got out of the tent, and we were looking at that view...so we stayed put. Went on a couple hikes in the area, and it was crazy how much snow is still out there while it was 80 and sunny every day.
Also, I could drink about 14 of those Bell's Officials in a row. Dangerously tasty and drinkable.
but you ignored the eye injury that cut his career short. last season he finally was able to play where he played in EUROPE. again he needed Eye surgery to SAVE his EYE SIGHT and it was stated that he might not ever play a game.
nobody is going play or use a player that may NEVER SEE AGAIN.

FTR: We definitely had a night where we killed a bottle of Makers. At 10,500 feet, a fifth does pretty good damage to a small group.
Bells just made its way to Nevada. Very excited to be able to gt HopSlam out here.
We did some hiking around South Lake on the fifth. Ended up at Fallen Leaf Lake and then did some hiking around Emerald Bay. They still had plenty of snow on the caps there as well. Water was too damn cold to enjoy, but it was absolutely gorgeous.
But the stats don't say differently.... he barely played. He averaged not even 2.5ppg in his limited time.
He injured his eye his rookie season (2014-15), and then still played 28 games the next season (2015-16).... and then played 0 games in the 3 seasons following that.

I'm just not sure having eye surgery in 2015, is really what kept him out of the NBA from 2017 to present.
I got a couple 6 packs of Hopslam this winter -- called my liquor store every other day for like two weeks to make sure I could get some before it sold out. $25 per six pack but well worth it. It's pretty rare that I don't like one of their beers, just so god damn good -- Two Hearted, Official, and their Porter are some of my go to's.
Just googled Emerald Lake and it looks awesome. Sounds like a good 4th. In the last couple weeks of hiking in Buena Vista and Crested Butte, the snow has really impacted us. One hike had a creek that's normally pretty small, but was really high and impassable, then another still had tons of snow/damage from an avalanche. But it is freaking gorgeous out there right now -- so green, so many wild flowers, the snowcaps are cool, and love the lack of fire bans.

the Clipprs can't use him so they cut him, its all about the team needs that dictate whether anybody plays in the NBA
But since you own a NBA team you should have already known that. also being a NBA Professional Scout you know for a absolute Fact that Marble can't play in the NBA.
Also being a Professional Eye Dr. you absolutely know when a player is healthy enough to start playing
good to know we have a EXPERT NBA SCOUT and EYE Dr. to inform one and all on good players are and when they recovering from EYE SURGERY.

Eh, he is what he is. We always seem to finish right around expectations. He's never beaten a higher seed in the tournament, which is astounding and the main reason for his hot seat. We've hit our plateau with Turge, but this notion that he can't coach at all is a ******ed construct of certain individuals on here.
