I didn't say the man doesn't go full potato at times, but he can coach somewhat.
His real success at Maryland were in the shoulders of Melo. I don't think he's a bad coach, but I think he's going to meet or slightly underachieve expectations each year. The good news is that he's good at assembling teams.
I think there's enough culture left over from Beilein that they will be good even if Howard is crap - which I don't think is the case even if he's not great.
Eddie Jordan made some pretty good 2nd half adjustments.
He definitely likes to gear the "offense" to the guards and I use the term offense loosely because most of the times its a disorganized mess just waiting for one of the guards to jack a pray up. If he could find an offensive assistant like Fran and Beilein have for defense, we could actually put something consistent together.
Yeah, we should all model our teams after Iowa. Bringing in a specialist for two weeks cures all.
It would at least show me that he has identified the problem, that his offense is hot garbage at times.
Turgeon sounds like if Groce could recruit a lead guard but less embarrassing.

That’s a solid core lineup. I am bullish on Mich, but maybe Maryland has a slight edge, albeit I have yet to see the younger Wagner play, and he could change things meaningfully.

No I figured you knew since you said he had a better record. Its probably something like 3-5 or 4-5.
He is. Interestingly enough Maryland has outscored Purdue in the head to head matchups though, 564-550.
Its almost like Maryland has had some young teams and were facing more experienced teams that just squeezed out some wins.

The courtesy inclusion. I seent a million times. New coach with connections. Kids put them in their top 5 to help momentum. Kevin Knox did it with Cuonzo.

Won the conference title in 2010, but really who gives a fvck about conference titles. I know that’s all you guys got though.
Also this is your first time getting past the sweet 16 since 2000. We’ve been to 2 final fours since then and have a championship.
