Nope - Funny thing is Snumbass brought us here because he liked to hang out on GBI bragging about his amazing “bro’s” on the national board. Disappointing TBH unless you’re into circle jerks.
Did I miss something in that thread or did no one ever respond to that post by Westy? Looked through a couple pages and no one took him up on it. Happy to be corrected, but unless there's a post I missed, I'm not sure who he's supposed to pay if no one accepts the bet.
It was a much better place for conversation until the past couple seasons. And it's mostly due to a handful of posters (a few Purdue guys included), who spend their entire time flaming on here rather than actually wanting to talk basketball. It's a shame, because this used to be a really good outlet to talk about the league with people outside the echo chamber of a home board.
Still get good conversations for stretches during the season, but unfortunately those are dilluted by inevitable trolling back and forth by the same characters. The offseason is just a complete shit show with a few pockets of recruiting news.
You’re guilty of the trolling, too. You were one of the best posters here until the influx of Purdue fanboys. Now you get caught in the crossfire and side with the slappies almost always.
I've called out guys like Westy and others plenty of times for blatantly trolling, and I'd think they can vouch for that. Westy and SNU's shitposting back-and-forth is some of the worst stuff to wade through on here. But you know that - and as one of the most notorious trolls on this board, this is an interesting position for you to stake out.
Also, do you have a response to my question above about the bet you're citing as an example of welching on a bet?
As others have pointed out on several occasions, it doesn’t matter what I post, multiple Purdue posters come out and argue with me. It’s like clockwork. Hell, I tagged IU guys and said Brunk was doing really well so far at IU and you would have thought I called him Jordan or that our team defense was dogshit (better than PU last year per Kenpom). It’s almost like they have a group chat and let everyone know I posted something. Lol. It’s really weird.
Look I get the back & forth gets old, but at least I try to keep it within the boundaries of basketball. Hail & SNU bring the weird sexuality BS.

I'm as guilty of it as most are and I let a few guys pull me into the back and forths (specifically Iowa fans), but it really seems to have peaked this off-season.

Obviously the Gold Cup is nothing compared to a World Cup, but would be nice for the USMNT to perform and take out Mexico here to lift a trophy. Would be a nice spring board heading into the Olympics next year and then WC qualifiers.

Its probably 75% Mexican fans. We just don’t draw a lot of fans for soccer. It also doesn’t help that we have fans in France currently.
I was super skeptical of that hire, but I've been pleasantly surprised so far. Although that might be due more to embarrassingly low expectations than any real impressive performances.
Pulisic has been his usual brilliant self, but I've liked what I've seen out of guys like Morris and Arriola in support. Still not convinced Altidore is ever going to be the answer up top against elite competition.
His roster management has been questionable imo. Zardes should never see the national jersey again.
