Nebraska averages 15492 in attendance in 2018. 3rd in the Big 10. Fred might build a power house there.
Everything is in place. Color me cautiously optimistic. IMO, expectations are low, so even one NCAA tournament win in the next 3 years will be considered a success.

I think that is very reasonable. Don't be surprised if it dont happen sooner. Fred is crafty with the transfer game. You guys will be winning next season.

Yep, Fred to Nebby is going to be great for them, and bad for the rest of the B1G. Guy knows how to get transfers in place, plays a fast game, and always had damn good athletes.

Do we see Lard transfer to Nebby?

This seems like the ideal year for Mussleman to move if he's going to. Not sure it gets much better than the roster he had this year or the success/notoriety he's had the past two.

100% and this year fizzled out badly.

He has packed them back on after getting skinny for the cheerleader.

You think Lard could qualify? Didnt he have academic issues.

Uneducated guess without really looking at incoming recruits etc for each team. I’d say MSU/UM/MD/Purdue as the top 4 with MSU and UM as top 2 and Purdue/MD vying for the 3rd spot
Thought you guys were assuming Carsen was gone?

I am? If he was coming back I’d have Purdue vying for first.
Purdue fighting for 3rd without Carsen?

Side questions: Who from Iowa is gone next year? Is it weird I think Illinois is gonna be really solid next year?

It’s more about what other teams are losing too. UW with Happ, Murphy with Minny, IU with Romeo and Morgan, MD probably Fernando or else I’d put them ahead of Purdue, leaving Iowa and the day I predict Iowa ahead of Purdue is the day I die.

You probably know your own history better than I do.
Has Iowa got caught with major infractions?

Nope. Way back in the 1920s or 1930s in football we paid some lower income players. Then the Big 10 black balled us for a few years. The only team that would play us was Purdue. God bless them.

I have my suspicions about George Raveling though. He got like 5 NBA players back in the 80s. But nothing was ever in question. He just couldn't coach. He may have been clean.

I read somewhere that Iowa and BYU are the only schools to never have a major infraction. We do run clean programs.

Wisconsin had the Black Earth shoe box in 2000/01.
That's the only major infraction I'm aware of.
I think from then on, Don Barry gave up buying athletes.

A quick search has you guys at 7 major ones all times. Tied with Minnesota for the Big 10 lead. I remember seeing that and being surprised. I don't remeber any scandals in my lifetime from Wisconsin.

IL has 6 BTW.

Either way, its time to tarnish Iowa's good name for a coupe FF's.

Just saw Forrester is transferring from IU, I don’t know if it was just me but he seemed a ways away from contributing to a big ten team when he played this season.

Thought that kid was a walk-on honestly. He looked 12 years old.

That one is a bit more of a shocker to me.

edit: but not apparently to people who know.

So is Indiana gonna have to go heavy in the grad transfer market? Juco? Or are there any recruits left?

Plenty of recruits with coaching changes occurring. Brunk as a two grad transfer, hopefully anyone who can shoot grad transfer and then another recruit.

If IU does indeed get Brunk I am not shocked by the Forrester transfer. He was passed up by Race towards the end of the year, so probably going to be on the bench for a couple years.

Fran is not leaving. why should he? this is the most talent at one time and that includes Raveling's recruits. even Lute's players,

That would’ve been interesting and I guess we’ll never know. IMO, his ties to Lincoln are vast and I doubt he’d betray ISU by going to Iowa.
Gable wrestled for ISU winning a Olympic Gold Medal but he ended up Coaching Iowa.
