In year 13 with four seniors I sure as hell would have hoped you made the tournament. Year 1 of a rebuild everyone knew it wouldn't happen for Illinois.
And promptly shit the bed with Painter's best roster ever. I'm fine with rebuilding, but I'm not fine with the settling for S16s every few years. You can have Painter. We had one of him in Bruce Weber, and I don't regret canning him one bit. I do regret hiring Mike Thomas and allowing him to hire John Groce.
Probably the best for both parties. Wirh Curry healthy next season, Fitzgerald was not going to get much playing time.
Do you view this year for Purdue as a success? You didn't win the B1G regular season. You didn't the conference tournament and you only got to the Sweet 16.
Jordan Caroline? Sounds like you guys already fvcked that up twice. No reason for him to transfer from a good Nevada team, and even if he does, he'd be smart to pick a program that actually has high expectations for his final season.

If the Martin twins go pro or Musselman leaves, I'd be surprised if he went elsewhere. Kid has wanted to play at Illinois his entire life. Chief tattoo on his forearm. Dad and grandfather are Illinois greats. He wants to be the man on a team. He's already reached out.
Nevada is going to be really good as long as the twins don't bolt.
It will be real nice if Gonzaga joins the Mountain West to add a top tier to the schedule twice.
Last I heard was Bruno is going to test the waters, but not sign with an agent. Nobody really knows about JJ, because of his injury. Both should return, selfishly I want them too, but they both have areas they need to improve upon.
The only way Muss leaves is if the Martin twins bolt in my opinion. If all return they are looking like a preseason top 15 team.
Top 25 team next preseason if the twins & Carolina returns- same with Maryland if JJ & Bruno return, along with Cowans, Hueter & Morsell.
It's definitely not certain, but if he transfers, Illinois is a near lock.
Kenpom tweeted out his top 10 (11) for next year and Maryland came in at 11th. This is assuming everybody returns and Mo VVagner leaves for the NBA. If he returns Michigan has to open as the favorite for the conference next year.

Matic Vesel. Was a guy we signed to fill a spot on the roster last season. He had some skills, but he needed a lot of bulk.
Yes, very infrequently. You may recall JJJ with a sweet spin move and dunk against us. Vesel was attempting to guard JJJ.
