*Official* 2017-2018 B1G In-Season Thread

keep trying stormie. oh wait she is 10X the woman you could ever hope to be, and I am not the one that brought Iowa into this discussion about how Nebraska got screwed by the selection committee.

Show me.

SHOW ME where I ever mentioned your joke of a team before you mentioned them with your whiny pouting.

Nobody was talking Iowa.
Until YOU.

You can’t argue with stupid. Stupid always wins. Circular “logic”.

you are clearly the one with mental issues, after 60+ years, children like you come and go thru life W/O a clue.
The clues I'm following here lead right to not being able to use logic in arguments, and apparently addition and subtraction are not strong suits of yours either.

68 teams in tourney. Fact
32 automatic bids. Fact
36 at-large. Fact

Please show me where I’m making stuff up.
10 + 36 = 46 teams in the field of 68.

32 teams get a auto berth after that the rest of the 36 teams are a conjecture and nothing more just like the seeding of the 68 Teams.

in this reguard the committee screwed the pooch. on who got the at large bids and who was seeded where.

HA!! Found the remote, no mo Gilly-Pooh fun for me.

Have a great one boys!!
I'm thinking of celebrating, this team .. I have no idea how they've done it, but g.d I'm gon enjoy it.
bye bye Stormie now run along like a good lil girl back to the B12 Board.

I apologize to everyone else, I'm pretty bored riding home from a long road trip. Pointing out how terrible Gil is at talking college basketball is all I really have to do at this point.

and how you are a complete failure and the only reason any one will side with you is because of their hatred of me and nothing more.

Complete failure in life. Somehow that fortune 500 company that hired me and has subsequently promoted me into leadership roles felt bad enough for me to give me handouts twice a month. Sometimes I think about ending it all.

Then I remember Indiana beat Iowa twice this season, and everything feels right in the world.

even fortune 500 companies need people like you in their companies. its called meeting their quota's in mentally challanged people,

my apologies to all those that are challenged.

Indiana still beat Iowa twice this season, and Indiana was completely average.

I did take logic and was the leader of the group and the debates. I could tear down the reason why Gun control would not work then turn around and embarrass those that were pro guns. on why gun control would work. debating is my strong suit. as is using logic when defending my opinion.

something you have no clue about. grow up little one and leave the debate to the grown ups.

Not surprising, Carsen Edwards will test the NBA waters. He'd be smart to bolt (if he can even in the 2nd round) considering the roster Purdue will have next year...

A roster that’s likely going to have Purdue in the bubble? It’s not like it’ll be like Wisconsin this year. I’d be really surprised if he left.

Definitely possible and not far fetched, I give you that. But, I don't think it's certain you'll be a bubble team. I think being on the bubble would be a good season for you guys next year.

I could see him testing pretty well, but think he has at least another year at Purdue. Damn good player.

If he does decide to leave then it becomes a 2017 Wisconsin type team.

Oh without him we’d be worse than 2017 Wisconsin team haha.

I’ll guess that Carsen averages 20+ a game next year. Even with modest improvements from Eastern and Haarms and I think that gets us to a bubble team pretty quickly. Cline is who he is and don’t think he’ll fill Dakota’s shoes. Dakota just had such a well-rounded overall game. Cline can shoot and play average D at best.

Throw in any of the following of Aaron Wheeler, Sasha Stefanovich, Eric Hunter, Trevion Williams, or Emmanuel Dowuona making even a decent impact next year and I like the prediction of a bubble team. When you have a guy as talented as Carsen, just need to have decent role players around him to make the bubble imo.

Carsen will get his points, no doubt. But as we saw, him getting his points isn't always enough. We really don't know that you'll have decent role players next year. Haarms should improve. How much? No clue. Eastern should improve. How much? No clue. The rest of the guys are huge question marks. I don't think it's easy to say you guys will be a bubble team. Just look at what you're losing. I would assume that you guys will be one of the teams that loses the most production going in to next year. Could you end up on the bubble? Sure, I think it's possible. Do I think it's likely? No.

What are your thoughts on IU next year? Assuming Morgan comes back, no transfers out by anyone of note and no Romeo.

Purdue, as the roster stands right now and if Carsen returns, is an NIT team IMO. Add a couple solid 5th year transfers and they'll get in NCAAs.

Agree. Edwards, Haarms and Eastern feels like a NIT core. Get a quality grad transfer or two and it becomes NCAA. I don't think the incoming freshman will be more than role players their first year.

a lot and a lot of teams are going to be on the "grad transfer" market. Seems like just about every power 5 is going to be looking.

Yep. Some good rosters don't make NCAAT. This year, for example, Penn State and Louisville. Purdue's is not better than those IMO.

Give it a year of seasoning though. That trio with the 2018 recruits is a NCAA squad in 2020.

This is of course assuming Carsen is still there. I think in the end he will be a Scottie Reynolds type for Purdue with probably better career numbers, but not as good team accolades.
