Lotta random programs recruiting this guy. Sounds like he wants to jump right to NBA. I'd tell your coaches to not waste their time.
Pitino likely knows he has to pull out all the stops for next year. We will still have a pretty talented roster, just need to get another good ball-handling guard. Can't hurt to get him on campus. He is going to go through the NBA draft process without an an agent, so he is not a lock to go pro.

I would also expect Pitino to be heavily involved in the grad transfer market.

By the way, I saw Turge took a lot of heat saying Penn State had 3 NBAers on this team.

ESPN released a fill 2019 mock recently and that mock had 2 Penn State players in it, neither of which was Mike Watkins who seems like a very likely NBA player at this point.

Fran doesn't crean player? Okay. Williams so his son could be the backup PG. He then got sick so Fran screwed himself here. Also Brandon Hutton, Andrew Fleming, Trey Dickerson. Any of those names ring a bell? They are once at Iowa and then got creaned
Connor was going to Red Shirt as a FR to play baseball so there was no threat of Connor playing in front of Williams,
Hutton went to a JUCO
Fleming got home sick and transferred to a non P5 program in Tennessee
Dickerson quit the team right before the NCAAT now why would Fran crean a player right before the NCAAT? NOT AFTER.

THIS IS the reason that I put you on ignore for spewing things as Facts without knowing what you are talking about.

Grad Transfer market is going to be a competitive one. Id expect IU to look that way regardless if they get Romeo or not. With the recently play of Green though I could see IU looking for a Grad Transfer big over a guard.

I'm assuming its an Insider article?

None of them were good enough to play except Connor and that's why it happened. I don't believe for a second Connor was going to redshirt, no matter what the media reports

We will see how KBD does against them Thursday night. I expect a war at the Bryce Jordan Center. Both teams need a win badly.

Fran's "plan" certainly isn't working.
I DON'T know considering the influx of talent the last 3 seasons
in Fran's 1st 5 seasons he signed just 2 4* players by ESPN
the last 3 these were the 4* players by ESPN
Bohannon just outside their top 100
Moss just outside their top 100
Connor top 100
Garza top 100
Cook #38 over all
Wieskamp top 100
then in the 2019 class top 40 Patrick,
if Fran is/was not the coach Iowa wouldn't even received a sniff from these
Moss
Connor
Garza
Cook
Wieskamp
Patrick

ooo wow one bad season in the last 7 seasons.

again these are the top producers
SO Cook 15.4 ppg and 6.5 rpg both lead the team
SO Bohannon 13.6 ppg and 5.3 apg
FR Garza in 20.2 mpg 10.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg 2nd in that category and leads the team in blocks with 30 blocks on the season.
SO Moss 23.8 mpg 10.8 ppg 2nd in assists and 2nd in steals
SO Pemsl 17.5 mpg 6.3 ppg 3rd on the team on rebounding
FR Nunge 16.3 mpg 6.3 ppg. 3rd in steals with 19 and 2nd in blocks with 21. that's your top 6 that all return.
4 SO's

Before this season Fran averaged just over 14 losses a season at Iowa. Already at 15 this season so that number will go up. If you think 15 losses a season is acceptable then so be it.

that is on you for calling the media Connor, Fran and Iowa's Baseball coach LIARS,

AND if William was that big a coward that he could stand the competition I sure as hell don't want him on the team. if you notice Williams transferred to a Mid Major that plays FCS FB. so its not like some Major power took him
Dickerson ended up transferring 5 times. maybe just maybe he just wasn't that good.

I'm giving him 2 years to make the tournament, is that fair?

again how many 4* players were on those teams also look at the other teams in the BT Fran has a lot of company.

well since his just the 16-17 season away from 3 straight NCAAT with 2 straight 1st Round wins you tell me and that team only had these for top recruits
top 100 Gesell
top 50 Woodbury
and those 2 as 4 year starters won 89 total games 3rd best in Iowa's History,

ooo wow the chicken little is already screaming the sky is falling. the sky is falling.

Never said the sky was falling, though it might be about to

It's Fran's job to recruit, you know?
and he also had to rebuild the Iowa program from the ground up DON'T YOU or have you forgotten the SA and Lick years where in 11 seasons Iowa went to the NCAAT 3 times and recorded at most 1 win back in the 00-01 season
then in the 05-06 season when Iowa received a 3 seed and lost to a 14 seed in the 1st round, maybe you would prefer that to going to 3 straight NCAAT in just 5 seasons? including 2 1st round wins.

It was IUFanBorden giving @bMORE607 shit about that, I believe. IUFanBorden isn't very smart.

Whose responsibility is it to recruit 4* players?
Iowa is not loaded with talent although that is changing
Bohannon is from Iowa
Connor is from Iowa
Wieskamp is from Iowa
Patrick is from Iowa
Fran's top target PG Carton top 50 is from Iowa in the 2019 class
Foster in the 2020 class is already rated a 5*. with 247 crystal balls showing as 75% to Iowa and 25% to Kentucky

the talent in Iowa is improving just like this team is improving
Lutes longest winning steak was just 5 seasons, and he ran as fast as he could to get away from Iowa fans like your self
Dr. Tom longest streak was just 5 seasons and his last team reached the sweet 16 and was run off,. by people like you.

you don't like go find another team to follow maybe ISU as they have no problem with taking players kicked off their teams for legal issues. [that's if you are not already a clown fan]

Absolutely shocked that Connor and Patrick McCaffery are from Iowa. Would have never guessed that.

Yes, of course I remember the years before Fran. It was horribly painful to watch. That doesn't mean I can't expect more now, though. That's part of building a program. As the team gets better, the expectations go up

This team is getting better but the expectations for this seasons team are grossly over bloated. even I got sucked in but I biased my expectation on this team being healthy from day one and never expected William to turn all coward by running away with out even trying to compete,

also why didn't Bohannon quit?

Zero from veterans Nickens Wiley Ceko. Truly pathetic. Need to clean things up and Huerter needs to quit waiting for an invitation to assert himself

1st season after 3 straight season where Iowa only won 15 BT GAMES in 3 seasons
4-14 BT
2nd season 8-10 dbling the win total in BT play
3rd season 9-9 6th place alone
4th season Gesell and Woodbury join the team 9-9 25 wins in their 1st season
5th season 12-6 BT
6th season 12-6 BT 4 seniors and 1 junior made up the starting 5
7th season 1 JR and 4 FR starting 10-8 BT When every body was predicting 10th or worse
8th season 3 SO 1 JR and 1 freshmen in the starting 5, you have to figure all the injuries and defections that happened to account for their record this season.

Or didn't hear? Sure didn't sound as if he said "may". If he did, then I apologize.

This is the quote from the home board. He was asked about how he felt about how the team can't really get over the hump.

"My kids battled. Are you serious, guys? Is this supposed to be real? My guys battled...their starting five is terrific, they're a heckuva team, they've got maybe three NBA guys on that team."
