Don't go their practice either but have friends that do, and yes they practice defense in every practice.
Fran has been a head coach for 22 years now and spent 9 years as a AC at ND,
Fran's team have now won 400 games.

not racist FACT Turg coaches his players to play as dirty as they want. white or black they all play dirty by dilevering Head Shots and then standing over players lying on the ground jawing at a downed player.
but even that is not allowed on the play ground as all it will get you is your head handed to you on a platter,
think what you want but Turg teaches players to play dirty.
so at least Fran does not teach that style of play to his players, but maybe he should after all the head injuries his players have suffered.

Very odd. His HS and AAU vids were so impressive. I know everyone on the Purdue premium board wanted him as the heir apparent to Mathias. Versatile guy that can defend, pass, and shoot.
The secret reason to why Purdues defensive performance has dropped off some recently is because HAARMS has kind of sucked for the past 5-6 games straight on defense.
Seems like Painter keeps switching all screens with him and leaves him too far out to recover and block shots as opposed to earlier in the non con when hed just hedge and recover immediately and be in position to block shots at the rim.
Really hope Painter goes back to this.

True but he was sick and missed time early in the year. Plus I don’t really see him as a guy who will make a big impact early. Doesn’t seem like he has much confidence right now but I think he will be a solid player the next 3 years.
