Purdue was playing at such a high level for a while that it isn’t shocking that they’ve come back to earth a bit. Hopefully, they get back to how they were playing by the OSU game, because I don’t think that last night’s performance would be good enough against the Buckeyes.

The biggest positive right now for Purdue is that they’ve only turned the ball over 58 times in the past 7 games. I feel like if Purdue can avoid turnovers and giving up offensive rebounds, they have a great chance of making a run in the NCAA Tournament.

I’ll be really interested to see how the Buckeyes stack up in 6 days, in a rough road environment against a final 4 type team in Purdue. OSU has exceeded all expectations this season. I’m thrilled. But will be interesting to see just how far they have come. My hope is that they can keep it close against Purdue and have a chance at the end, but I know that’s a tall order.

looking at Bohannon [just to get the topic back to BB]
even with the foot injury he is putting up better numbers this season vs the season where he was named to the BT FR Team
10.9 ppg to 14.0 ppg
5.1 apg to 5.4 apg
38.8% from the field to 43.2%
41.6% from 3 to 43.7%

this is my plug for 2nd or 3rd team All BT, it will be interesting to see what he can do fully healthy,

from what I have been told and/or read about it is very painful to even walk on, so Iimagine trying to play BB would eilimate the average BB player.

this is also what slows down his mobility.

Sounds like it would eliminate 95% of Iowa's team.

Really? Do I have to sift through posts like this?

made a thread about Nova's offense being ridiculous, which turned into a bunch of morons arguing about the SEC.

This thread can be stupid sometimes, but generally speaking it's so much better keeping our game threads contained in here to keep out the riff raff.

Truth. Clowns from other conference just do not know. Except for the one and only @KisteK who can do whatever she damn well pleases.

Probably only 4
I dunno. Nebraska could make a strong case.

17-8, 8-4 with an RPI of 57. SOS is a downer(104). They have 6 games left, and four are at home. Hold serve at home, and that puts them at 21-10, 12-6. IMO, than gets them in. Heck they very well could go 6-0. Road games are at Minny and Illinois.

IMO, if they go 4-2 to close season, they'll be in.

Kistek is a lil12 fan. Just like you wouldnt discipline a small child for spilling an open drink on the floor since he/she doesnt know any better, we dont judge ms kistek for not enjoying the GOAT basketball conference when shes been exposed to that aids conference her whole life as a lolself and Kansas slappie.

@KisteK :
B1G stage
B1G life
B1G Ten

any BT team with 20 wins this season is going to get in. they should have 20+ wins by the end of the season with a .500 or better BT record.
If you have a .500 record in BT this season you might not make NIT, that's how bad the league is overall

Nove is 1A of teams we don’t want to see until the F4 along with Duke, MSU, and UVA. If we have to play them in Omaha, KU is in there too.

This isn’t 2004 20 wins doesn’t mean much anymore unless you have some damn good wins in that 20. The B1G this year doesn’t give many opportunies for good wins

That’s completely false. 20 wins guarantees nothing.
have you been following BB? there are not a lot of teams that are tearing things up.

as a whole the NCAA is down. I wouldn't even put MSU in with Duke and Villinova.

as bad as the BT is its not wise to brag about good a team is as this is about as bad it has been in years.
injuries have decimated teams
youth has hurt teams [and not just Iowa]

Romeo Langford had 63 points tonight and played 28 minutes in the game. Game is AT Jennings County, and half the JC cheering section is in IU gear. IU may not get him, but he's sure been shown the love. Romeo has up to 12 games left, if he averages 39 per game, he beats Damon Bailey for the number one scorer in Indiana High School history.

Needs to average just a tad above 40. Sectional draw will be interesting to see if he gets that 12th game

you are right 40.2. Romeo probably does not make it, but 3,000 points is a great possibility. He has averaged over 46 a game the last 3 games. I saw him play last weekend against Jasper, and he had 38 with 8 threes. RL is the best in Indiana that I have seen in a long time. He is a one and done.

there it is again, the purdue mentality.

I didn't think it was embarrassing when Lafayette Jeff kids all wore purdue gear when Travis Carroll came to town...the same with Donnie Hale, another New Albany kid.

Yeah Westy just a salty kid

He'll be in the conversation for fringe 3rd-team, honorable mention consideration. But there's no way he gets up to 2nd team. All of these guys would be above him in the pecking order for all-conference honors if things ended today:

Keita Bates-Diop - OSU
Vincent Edwards - Purdue
Miles Bridges - MSU
Isaac Haas - Purdue
James Palmer - NEB
Juwan Morgan - IU
Tony Carr - PSU
Anthony Cowan - Maryland
Carsen Edwards - Purdue
Ethan Happ - Wisconsin
Tyler Cook - Iowa
Jordan Murphy - Minnesota
Mike Watkins - PSU

Westy just salty
IU mob is embarrassing. Grown men showing up to high school games in candy stripe clown pants to salivate over teenagers is just super weird to me. And the majority of IU fans act like the kid is committed to IU.

Any grown man in Candy Stripe pants is embarrassing but these were kids. Go to some games there are plenty of Purdue fans in their hoodies.
