Watching this Duke and UVA game, and I just can’t shake the feeling that Purdue is more complete and better than both. Don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with hopefully not having to see either unless Purdue makes the F4, but Purdue’s shooting would crush this Duke zone and give UVAs packline fits as well.

Watching this Duke and UVA game, and I just can’t shake the feeling that Purdue is more complete and better than both. Don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with hopefully not having to see either unless Purdue makes the F4, but Purdue’s shooting would crush this Duke zone and give UVAs packline fits as well.

UVA is better defensively IMO but their downfall will be shooting. Duke is that athletic team that can give us fits but the first half showed how they can be beat. Old vs young.

I agree UVA is better than Purdue on D, but the difference is far smaller than Purdue’s advantage on O. On a net basis, Purdue is better. Other way around with Duke. Their O might be a little better, but Purdue D is far better, giving the overall advantage to Purdue. Obviously anything can happen during a game, but that’s what the eye test is telling me. UVA’s strong D along with Duke’s transition game and rebounding are concerns for Purdue, but I would bet on Purdue on a neutral court as of today.

I know several pu fans still in therapy from the dual 65 point a$$blasting pu received courtesy of Cody,Victor and IU. This included a 35 point win AT Mackey. IU was up over 30 early in the second half at AH and chose to take it easy the rest of the way. Travis Carroll is still limping from that bendover. Painter is still having flashbacks of those two games. Of course he was a little distracted that year, if you know what I mean....

then you can see how the refs are giving Iowa the green weenie on the foul calls,
and see how the BNebraska player constantly grabs and shove Bohannon around with nothing being called. 16 FT's for Nebraska to just 5 for Iowa, the FT's are the difference in this game, some year/decade Iowa will get some home cooking.
