No doubt. I like our chances at home vs OSU and MSU. Purdue not so much. The ability to get to 11-7 was there. That would've been 19 wins, with wins over OSU, MSU and Notre Dame. I think that would have giot us in.
But hey, better times ahead. This year has been what I thought: A struggle. I did not think we would shoot this bad. But understood the PG spot was going to be an issue.
It's not alcoholism, it's drinking heavily every time Illinois loses.

Phinisee has been to multiple games and practices studying the system. He will absolutely start. Haven’t had a true PG on the roster since Yogi
Yeah, I know. We were awful. Their awful just happened to be better. I mean had you told me we would turn it over 19 times and shoot 40% from the line, I'd been happy with a 10-point loss.
As much as I loathe Purdue, you guys are really, really good. It will take a crazy effort to win. Just don't see it. I see it being close for a while. Then you guys pulling away.
I have officiated about 5-6 of his games. He is very good. See's the floor well. Under control. Very poised. He's a lot better than what people think. He will start from Day one.
And I will say this: He is better right now than any PG we have.
Are we just not gonna talk up the Illinois guy who, with his team up two and both teams in the double bonus, fouled the IU guy with .1 (.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) seconds on the clock under IU's basket? lmao

Illinois is one of the dumbest teams I have ever seen. First all the stuff they did to lose vs. Maryland and now this? Yikes.

Naaah. You don't see me crying about how unlucky we were. Had our chances. Didn't make the plays needed to win. Hell I was shocked we even had a chance to win. Down 8 with 1:15 to go anmd next thing I know, we have the ball with a chance to win.I think this is where I post this.
Got to hit FT's. Got to. 19 turnovers were just bad. Didn't play well after halftime. Had the opportunity to put the game away early in the 1st half. We didn't. Kudo's to you guys for battling.
Cannot wait for the game in Btown. I honestly think we win at home by 15+.
