I really couldn't tell whether block or charge. Javie said charge correct, I thought. Looked like Lebron's left foot did not move. could say he spun into him a little, but also looked like he might have braced himself. It was a block, and I get the argument about why it shouldn't have even been reviewed, but it was the right call in the end. NBA replay is a hot mess, though. There were worse calls, like the one on Hill in the first minute of OT against Durant, but those weren't egregious.
The whole Thompson thing was a mess. Thompson's stunt is the type of crap that has no place in the game; it's similar to beaning a hitter for trotting. I've generally defended Draymond in the past, but he's a just a punk ass bitch. I applaud Kerr for his take on the BS machismo crap like what Thompson pulled, but have a talk with your instigator.
So never mind he has more gamewinning shots in the playoffs than MJ? didn't MJ pass off to a teammate for a shot in the Finals or did I just dream that?Make excuses all you want. He had little ass steph on him. He passed into traffic instead of taking a 6 foot 3 180 pound guard off the dribble. He was a beast till the shit got real.
Great....so why not get it right when they called Hill for slapping early in OT when it was a clear steal? You are allowed to change the call once you determine the defender wasn’t in the restricted circle, which James wasn’t. But it was clear to me that LeBron was not even close to being in the right position, which is why it was overturned. What is the point of having replay if we don’t want to get the call right? As bogus as it is to change a critical call like that I the finals, I have to think it was the right move.
What? I'd take Pippen and Rodman over Wade and Bosh 10/10. Pippen was a lockdown defender and Rodman was one of the most talented rebounders of all time. Then add a sniper ala BJ Armstrong or Steve Kerr on the wing. Maybe I'm older than you, but Pippen would have been THE man on any Jordan-less team.
Lebron has never been surrounded with that kind of talent, which is why he doesn't have nearly the trophy case.
But you know those analysts and Javie have an agenda. Not good old Jimbo. It was clear to you, but the analysts and the former official all thought he had established a legal guarding position? Interesting
I'm aware Steve disagree. Doesn't change the fact Lebron was moving.Maybe...but an actual NBA ref disagreed so would seem not enough to overturn at least.
The MJ envy is real.So never mind he has more gamewinning shots in the playoffs than MJ? didn't MJ pass off to a teammate for a shot in the Finals or did I just dream that?
Guess it got too real for him.
And that doesn't necessarily mean it's a block....as the actual ref stated. But what would he know over a guy with an agenda?I'm aware Steve disagree. Doesn't change the fact Lebron was moving.
you claimed Lebron was weak because he passed off. Just wondering why that wouldn't make MJ weak for doing the same. The MJ envy is real.
Who's the guy with the agenda? And that doesn't necessarily mean it's a block....as the actual ref stated. But what would he know over a guy with an agenda?
Laughing thanks for letting me know I have one. I wasn't aware prior to this.
Are you unaware of your previous comments? Thinking you must be right and an actual NBA ref is off base kind of speaks to my theory, right?Laughing thanks for letting me know I have one. I wasn't aware prior to this.
All I said was Lebron was moving. Are you unaware of your previous comments? Thinking you must be right and an actual NBA ref is off base kind of speaks to my theory, right?
So I’m the only one who thought it was a block? InterestingIt was clear to you, but the analysts and the former official all thought he had established a legal guarding position? Interesting
https://www.nba.com/magic/ranking-clutch-history-17-20180208you claimed Lebron was weak because he passed off. Just wondering why that wouldn't make MJ weak for doing the same.
Nice deflection, though.
Good grief. You ripped on him after the game for no apparent reason in a troll job. what did you expect?
Correction - he has more game winning shots than MJ and Kobe combined. The poster you quoted said that Lebron seems to disappear late in games though. lolSo never mind he has more gamewinning shots in the playoffs than MJ? didn't MJ pass off to a teammate for a shot in the Finals or did I just dream that?
Guess it got too real for him.
Nope. Apparently I developed an agenda for thinking it was a block. So I’m the only one who thought it was a block? Interesting
No, what was interesting was that you said it was "Clearly" a block. It wasn't clear, and could have easily gone either way, but it should not have been overturned. So I’m the only one who thought it was a block? Interesting
Nope, it was a block. I was under the impression one ref called block & one called charge, so they reviewed reviewed it.So I’m the only one who thought it was a block? Interesting
Actually, no, this was what you said - "Definitely the right call. He initiated the contact and was moving into him."All I said was Lebron was moving.
I said to me if was clearly a block. To. Me.No, what was interesting was that you said it was "Clearly" a block. It wasn't clear, and could have easily gone either way, but it should not have been overturned.
Nope. I know Legler did. Seems most thought it could have gone either way and not conclusive enough to change. So I’m the only one who thought it was a block? Interesting
Ok. And that bothered you? I think it was the right call. They showed replays.Actually, no, this was what you said - "Definitely the right call. He initiated the contact and was moving into him."
So MJ sat in a huddle and let the coach call a set play for a game-winner that wasn't for him? If Lebron did that you'd say he was scared.https://www.nba.com/magic/ranking-clutch-history-17-20180208
Don’t worry, LBJ is almost in the top 15 in this list.
MJ passed off on a set play. He didn’t stand at the top of the key looking scared & passed into traffic at the last minute
Fair enough. I respect your opinion.I said to me if was clearly a block. To. Me.
jimbo to English - "I've got nothing to refute that."Good grief.

Then you were wrong. They reviewed it to see if he was in the restricted area.Nope, it was a block. I was under the impression one ref called block & one called charge, so they reviewed reviewed it.
And it wasn't clear to anyone without an agenda. And before you say I have one, I would not have complained had the original call been a block. It was close enough for that to be the call.I said to me if was clearly a block. To. Me.
come on, Jimbo. I'll time you.@dtgold88 hey man I’ll get to all your posts at some point today. Crazy at work right now, don’t have the time to respond like normally. I got you though
does it bother me? No, but that's not the same as simply saying "he was moving".Ok. And that bothered you? I think it was the right call. They showed replays.
How about more clutch shots with an itch on his back he couldn't reach?Oh, this is surely an objective and awesome list with criteria like:
Surprised it didn't mention the word "balls" or reference "looking scared." Please, keep this drivel coming. It's a slow Friday at work.
- "Does the player have a nickname that references how clutch he was in his career?"
- "Do any of the shots go by a certain phrase?"
- "Just based on reputation, who would you trust taking a game-winning shot?"
As passionate of a fan as he’s proven to be, he should be pissed off, as far as the game. His Cavs had a chance to steal one on the road.U mad?
I know I'm irritated. Went into the game not giving them a great chance, but when it got to the point they could actually win it was disheartening to see them lose how they did.As passionate of a fan as he’s proven to be, he should be pissed off, as far as the game. Yep. Much easier to lose by 20 than that BS.I know I'm irritated. Went into the game not giving them a great chance, but when it got to the point they could actually win it was disheartening to see them lose how they did.
Truth be told if I had to choose, I'd rather after they fell behind by 7 it just stay in the 5-10 range the rest of the game. wouldn't really have gotten my hopes up, and also would have still looked like they could compete (which they do...making the loss more annoying).Yep. Much easier to lose by 20 than that BS.
