If Booker is starting for Mich St. they are in a lot of trouble. Dude is all potential and zero production right now. He isn’t going to get much minutes.
Izzo managed to hide Joey Hauser all of last year. In fact, he always has a guy in his starting 5 that has at least one major flaw and he usually pulls it off somehow.
Joey was the slowest guy on the court, regardlesss of opponent and he couldn’t guard anybody.

You should lose to any and all ranked tems when you have a player like that starting, but Izzo is good enough on the sidelines to not only mask it, but almost turn it into an advantage.

Hauser torched UK last year and all he had to do was walk over to his spot and wait for the ball. Our defenders kept leaving him to help, or were just flat out late, because they couldn't figure out how to go around a middle/high ball screen(Collins). Pathetic, but that's the difference between a great coach and a fraud.

I dont think you’ve actually watched Booker. Dude is at best a year away from contributing. He won’t and shouldn’t play much this season. He might be one of the most overrated IN players in a long time.

Not sure if Booker is any good or not, but if he’s going to play for Izzo, he'll most likely end up being the guy you think sucks, but ends up being a thorn in everyone's side.

Booker won't start. Hall will start at the 4. Most Spartans know Booker is talented but raw. I don't care what your ranking is (5 Star, whatever), if you don't play defense, Izzo won't play you. He loves holding players accountable.
Our Guards are sick. I expect a Top 10 team all season, with a Final 4 Run and Title possible. Still need to see what we get out of the Center/5 position.

Side Note: (No troll)
Kansas fans are going to hate Hunter Dickenson. Guy can't guard his shadow. Plus, he truly is a complete douche. Really surprised Self took a chance, considering he prioritizes defense too.

So far Dickinson has done and said all the right things. He hasn't been unlikeable at all. We'll see what happens if they run into adversity, but that stuff seems pretty overblown. As for his defense, it may not be stellar, but Self has turned many mediocre defenders into solid defenders in the past.

Agree. I worked two of their games, and he wasn't close to the best player. MOF, the kid going to Purdue for football, IMO, was better. And they had some floppy hair kid who was a monster. I had them vs Jeffersonville, and he was pushed around all night by a 6'9" soph. He never posted. All his points came off break outs, a couple of jumpers, and putbacks.

Not saying the kid wont be good, BUT he's not ready for the B10.
