He's putting his feelings out there...

"There's two teams today who were competing who do it right. I know that to be true," Few said, referring to Gonzaga and Tennessee. "And there's a lot of teams who do it right -- the national champions two out of the last three years. There's a lot of great things. This thing is worth saving."

Mark Few: NCAA should have more urgency in corruption investigation

"I'm disappointed. I don't think this is something the NCAA needs to take their time on, There's teams out here who are competing for Final Fours and national championships and they don't need to stall this thing out. They need to make decisions and roll with it. I think that's on Emmert. Emmert needs to step up and be a leader and make some quicker decisions."

"Everybody's got a value system and you can either adhere to that value system or not and you let it become compromised. [Illegal recruiting is] just something we don't do."

Few probably still is pissy about the loss two years ago. He needs to get over it, though. The ref clearly didn't have a good angle on where Meeks's hand was. Just bad luck, I guess.

I don't think he meant it that way at all. I think he was comparing his program to 'Nova, which makes sense. He has spoken before about how Roy is a mentor to him and how much he looks up to him. They are probably as close as two coaches can be.

So, looks like I was right. Here is what Few said when people took it the wrong way.

“Nobody is rolling more than Villanova, that’s what I was saying,” said Few, whose fourth-ranked Bulldogs visit No. 12 North Carolina on Saturday. “North Carolina does it the right way. They’re as ethical as ethical can be.”

Few and Tar Heels coach Roy Williams have been close friends for years. Leading up to the 2017 national championship game, both coaches recounted a funny story of their staffs visiting a casino in Tunica, Mississippi, a few days before the 2009 GU-UNC Sweet 16 matchup in Memphis.

“Roy is a high-character, Hall of Fame coach who I have the highest amount of respect for of anybody coaching in any sport,” said Few, who has reached out to Williams.

What else would he say when it turns into controversy?

To be fair, you could probably call this 10-12 times each game. That game was rough to watch on both ends. Too many whistles.

How's the wife doing, btw?
So you saying Meeks should’ve been called on his but this was ok? Is that your stance?

Lots of missed calls, playboy. The one you mentioned was irrelevant, however, since it was directly after the Meeks missed call. Where the players are situated, the score, the flow of the game. Also kind of irrelevant since Gonzaga ended up turning the ball shortly after Williams stepped over the end line anyway. Here's another missed call, although not as blatant as the other two.

yes and I believe that is any reasonable person's stance when comparing a foot over the line violation on an uncontested inbounds pass after a made bucket vs a scrum on the ground where the player with possession is out of bounds. One of those happens 10x per game and is never called, the other is a blatant missed call by the ref.

Are you calling the man who pretended to be married to a German Instagram model unreasonable??

If it was a UNC player with his foot over the line, inbounding a pass, it would be different.
People just mad because I showed a missed call just as bad as the one Meeks was involved in.
Good day, my work here is done.

What he meant. Tbh, I think he felt people were smart enough to understand what he meant. They weren't and thus he had to clear it up.

I think the still shot pictures are pretty funny here as well. I enjoy people still being bothered by our latest National Championship.

He felt that people were smart enough to understand that he wasn't referring to UNC when he specifically failed to mention them as doing things the right way AND UNC was just under a multi year long investigation? Yea, how stupid of us to make that logical jump.

Like I said, I explained what he meant. I think it makes a lot of sense to compare his team to 'Nova tbh. There are a lot of similarities there. I knew he felt UNC did things the right way though. It's ok if you didn't. Just turns out you were wrong .

I was a little salty when it initially happened. But I smile a bit thinking UNC paid $20 million in attorney fees to keep their team eligible.

Also, I think it's kind of interesting that their last 5 titles have small asterisks that are hard to ignore:

2017: Meeks out of bounds with 50 seconds left and UNC up by 1. Ref calls jump-ball; UNC gets the ball due to the alternating possession rule.

2009/2005: African-American Study Titles

1993: Chris Webber calls timeout, subsequently UM is charged with a technical.

1982: Down by 1, Fred Brown passes the ball directly to UNC player, sealing the victory for UNC.

1957: Probably a legitimate title. Although McGuire did have recruiting violations/point shaving during his tenure.

No, I think what it turns out is that Mark Few needs to do a better job saying what he means if he doesn't want people to take his comments the wrong way.

I mean, there are literally no asterisks but if you need to feel good about them somehow that’s cool. I bet we could find a few bad calls that helped Duke in a couple of their title runs. Or we could be dumb enough to think Lance Thomas (did he play in one) is a black mark on one somehow?? That’s all silly fanboy stuff though.

Yes, it is all silly. I'm not disagreeing. Just funny how two of their titles were sealed by boneheaded plays (82,93), one by an obvious missed call (17), and two titles were facilitated by no-show classes. Nothing officially going down as an asterisk, but a pretty good luck of the draw on all of those titles. All titles have an element of a luck to it, but the ones I mentioned were slightly more lucky than most. Just my opinion.

Amazing how every UNC hater remembers Webber calling TO but none bring up the travel he got away with seconds before.
