Yeah. But the final score is a bit misleading. UK was in a fight. No surprise, TBH. UNCG is a good team. They will be a headache for some 4 or 5 seed.
Kentucky plays four more good teams in the next four weeks. I expect possibly two losses; however, this Kentucky has some latent talent. That talent is not meshing well at all so far, but there is some hope that they will soon.
Also UK's returning sophs are not doing diddly squat. Greene, Washington & Richards act lost much of the time. The freshmen, a few who were supposed to be good shots, are not shooting well. So sometimes the talent on paper does not equate to the talent on the hardwood. This gives Michigan, Indiana, Auburn, Tennessee and Louisville fans hope for the future.
However, UK amassed that paper talent and I am willing to watch every damned minute of every game, just like I have since 1960.

Hope? UK is the least of my worries. What they do or don't do is irrelevant to me; Or IU. UK will be just fine. They always are. Just not getting it right now. But they will.
It was a fight until the 12 min mark of the second half. Then our guys finally discovered how to play some D. They did a good job limiting Alonso in the 2nd half. At least they have a week off until Seton Hall. They might learn that they need to play D for 40 minutes.... Cal's trimmed it down to a 7 man rotation the last 2 games. That's gotta help...

I looked at their schedule hoping they were scheduled to play another P5 team to see just how good they are, but it doesn't look like they've got anyone else of note the rest of the season, but they should get in the tournament.
They did give LSU a scare though.

Everyone, including Duke fans, until this year felt that way. Now he seems to be getting it. Bolden has played really well this year.
I'm raising my hand as one of the people who are shocked with how they've looked to start the season. After they picked up Travis Reid, I figured they would dominate from start to finish this year. They were my easy pick at the start of the season for champions for this year. Of course, its early, so there's plenty of time for them too jell, but so far they don't even look like contenders.
It's Reid Travis and his defense is terrible, he plays below the rim, and has trouble scoring over length. Those are the things that will keep him out of the NBA. His rebounding ability is about all he really has going for him.

Agree. I had no idea Wes Miller was coaching. I know Alonso is their stud. But the Miller kid was really good. UK had all kinds of issues guarding him.
We have posters on Rafters who still think this team will turn it on and are Final 4 worthy. I don't, this is another double digit loss team for Cal. PJ & Richards are 4 year players but their mind are made up they are gone this year.
Trust me, I usually love nothing more then when there's something happening that's going to end up hurting Uk. But, I really hate to see young kids make a bad decision that will affect their whole lives like this...based off of incorrect facts that are being told to them by adults who are just riding their coattails.

That’s because we have seen this movie before. All of cals teams struggle throughout the year. When they hit the sec tournament and March madness they usually start to click and figure it out by then. Hopefully that continues. We have all the pieces to make a deep run it’s just putting it all together. This team is similar to 2014.
