Kentucky....

Wasn’t just the crazies. Kyjeff, jkwo, and Montana who are all good posters. Just couldn’t not grasp that another team also had potential.
I don't recall exactly what I said. I assume you do since you're saying I did.
Remember, this is December 1st. There's a long way to go.
I'll definitely admit, UM is WAYYYY better than I thought they would be, but lets pump the brakes on the one seed talk at this point in the season.

He was also calling for Michigan football to win it all. You can see how that worked out.

Was that before or after UofM lost to a team that UK blew out by fitty?

The overseas summer exhibition game playing with Euro rules that Beilein didn’t even make the trip for is what convinced you Michigan couldn’t be a top 5 team if things clicked?

I’m still not saying they will be a 1 seed. That’d be very optimistic. I’m saying that their ceiling is a 1 seed. You are aware what a ceiling is, yes? Best case scenario. Not always the most likely scenario.

How loosely do you define “very good”? How many “very good” teams are there? UNCG was the 82nd ranked Kenpom team last year and 67th this year. Can we agree that they are average to below average for a P5 school but good compared to other mid/low majors?

When you start calling the 67th best team in the country good you’re going to piss off a lot of UK fans that don’t consider anything but the top 5-10 teams good (if that).
Stop. You and I both know I never touted them to be a top 25 team. 86 is talking like they are terrible though. They aren't freakin' Monmouth.

Fair but like he said, UK fans do stuff like call a decent Marquette team garbage and I don’t think UNCG is as good as Marquette. Maybe not you personally. Probably not you personally actually because you’re smart.

That's true, although there are people from every fan base that do that. Speaking of Marquette, they have been impressive. Pains me to say because Wojo. Sick

You didn't answer my question.
Was it before or after UofM lost to a team that UK blew the doors off of?
I don't care what rules they were playing by, it's still basketball.
But you're doing the same thing. You're calling people out in December for something that isn't going to happen until March. That prediction could still be correct.
How many times have you seen teams look great in November, then end up being garbage by February? Oklahoma last year is a prime example.
UM could end up being an 8 seed for all you know.

Exactly, the odds of UofM getting a 1 seed is not that high. There are just too many really good/talented teams this year.
But doesn't every top 25 team have a 1 seed ceiling at this point in the season?

At this point, barring an injury to a starter, I'd say Michigan is more likely to be a 3 seed or higher than 4 seed or lower.

The odds of Michigan getting a 1 seed are higher than the zero chance you and other Kentucky fans were giving Michigan.

Michigan's defense is too good for them to choke like that. They'll be in games even when their offense isn't clicking. Speaking of OU though, ASU was the same way last year. Undefeated with some good wins in non-conference, sucked ass in conference play and the Pac-12 was bad.

1. It was an exhibition played on Michigan's summer trip overseas.
2. There are different rules, like Fiba playing with a 22 foot 3pt line as opposed to Michigan being use to a 20 foot 3pt line.
3. John Beilein had double bypass surgery the week of August 7th and didn't make the overseas trip.
4. It was a summer exhibition.

Capping their ceiling because of that game is stupid, trolling, or both. '

It could... and probably will be correct that Michigan isn't a one seed. I don't expect Michigan to be a 1 seed. I'm calling you guys out for saying Michigan things like Michigan has no chance, wouldn't be in the conversation, or was a 3 seed at best. Anybody with a set of eyes can see Michigan is good enough to push for a high seed.

They have beaten the shit out of everyone they have played so far, including some really good teams. I could easily see a #1 seed being a possibility, at least at this point in the season. I haven't seen any teams that look better than Michigan.

Yup. And Kyjeff seems salty. I'm sure when Michigan ends up a 2 seed he will come in and say "See! I told you Michigan had zero chance at a 1 seed!".

Even though my point isn't that Michigan is a top 4 team. It's that looking at their roster, coach, schedule, etc..... they have potential to be a to be a 1 seed.

UNCG isn't very good? Says who? I am pretty sure you're saying that because they don't have name recognition and no other reason. That or you haven't been paying attention for the past few years.

to be fair, ul fans have not had much of a reason to pay attention to CBB the past few years :D

So you, a Michigan fan, are saying that you believe UofM is more likely to be a 3 or a 4 seed when all is said and done, but are calling out UK fans for saying essentially the same thing? I guess I'm confused.

every fanbase does that
some are even doing it in this thread

Bottom line is UK smoked the doors off that team and UofM lost to them.
Can you really fault UK fans for thinking UofM had no shot at a 1 seed at that time?
Here's the deal, if I said that comment, it would have been after UofM lost to Bemax and I would have been taking into account that there are just too many stacked teams this year.
This is not a down year in college basketball. We see people post that comment every year, I always disagree with it, but it is certainly not true THIS YEAR. College bball is stacked this year. UofM would need to beat out teams like Gonzaga, Nevada, Duke, UK, KU, UNC***, UT and UVA to get a 1 seed.
Sure, Michigan looks awesome right now and you're thumping you're chest about it, but it's freaking December 1st man. Pump the brakes.

I'm salty? Wow. That's not accurate at all. I guess that's just how it is. If you're a UK fan and you disagree with a non-UK fan, you are salty or over the top.
What did I say that made me "salty"?

Michigan beat Villanova, UNC, and Purdue all by 15 or more points, will likely finish 11-0 in OOC play, is the favorite to win the Big Ten, and you still can’t simply acknowledge they have top 5 potential.

Put the bourbon down.

But you're saying the same thing.

No, I’m saying they have 1 seed potential with a higher probability of a 3 seed. Kentucky fans have said Michigan has no chance at better than a 3 seed.

I’ve said that multiple times. You are too salty to comprehend apparently.

So you're taking comments that were said in August and acting like I said them today?
Knowing what I know now… ..hell yeah Michigan can be a 1 seed.
Back in August after they lost to Bemax, my OPINION was that they had little chance just because cbb is up this year and it looked like Michigan was going to need some time to figure things out.
