I'll definitely admit, UM is WAYYYY better than I thought they would be, but lets pump the brakes on the one seed talk at this point in the season.

I’m still not saying they will be a 1 seed. That’d be very optimistic. I’m saying that their ceiling is a 1 seed. You are aware what a ceiling is, yes? Best case scenario. Not always the most likely scenario.

But you're doing the same thing. You're calling people out in December for something that isn't going to happen until March. That prediction could still be correct.
How many times have you seen teams look great in November, then end up being garbage by February? Oklahoma last year is a prime example.

Exactly, the odds of UofM getting a 1 seed is not that high. There are just too many really good/talented teams this year.

At this point, barring an injury to a starter, I'd say Michigan is more likely to be a 3 seed or higher than 4 seed or lower.
The odds of Michigan getting a 1 seed are higher than the zero chance you and other Kentucky fans were giving Michigan.
Michigan's defense is too good for them to choke like that. They'll be in games even when their offense isn't clicking. Speaking of OU though, ASU was the same way last year. Undefeated with some good wins in non-conference, sucked ass in conference play and the Pac-12 was bad.
1. It was an exhibition played on Michigan's summer trip overseas.
2. There are different rules, like Fiba playing with a 22 foot 3pt line as opposed to Michigan being use to a 20 foot 3pt line.
3. John Beilein had double bypass surgery the week of August 7th and didn't make the overseas trip.

It could... and probably will be correct that Michigan isn't a one seed. I don't expect Michigan to be a 1 seed. I'm calling you guys out for saying Michigan things like Michigan has no chance, wouldn't be in the conversation, or was a 3 seed at best. Anybody with a set of eyes can see Michigan is good enough to push for a high seed.
They have beaten the shit out of everyone they have played so far, including some really good teams. I could easily see a #1 seed being a possibility, at least at this point in the season. I haven't seen any teams that look better than Michigan.
Yup. And Kyjeff seems salty. I'm sure when Michigan ends up a 2 seed he will come in and say "See! I told you Michigan had zero chance at a 1 seed!".
Even though my point isn't that Michigan is a top 4 team. It's that looking at their roster, coach, schedule, etc..... they have potential to be a to be a 1 seed.

So you, a Michigan fan, are saying that you believe UofM is more likely to be a 3 or a 4 seed when all is said and done, but are calling out UK fans for saying essentially the same thing? I guess I'm confused.
Bottom line is UK smoked the doors off that team and UofM lost to them.

Here's the deal, if I said that comment, it would have been after UofM lost to Bemax and I would have been taking into account that there are just too many stacked teams this year.
This is not a down year in college basketball. We see people post that comment every year, I always disagree with it, but it is certainly not true THIS YEAR. College bball is stacked this year. UofM would need to beat out teams like Gonzaga, Nevada, Duke, UK, KU, UNC***, UT and UVA to get a 1 seed.

Michigan beat Villanova, UNC, and Purdue all by 15 or more points, will likely finish 11-0 in OOC play, is the favorite to win the Big Ten, and you still can’t simply acknowledge they have top 5 potential.

Knowing what I know now… ..hell yeah Michigan can be a 1 seed.
Back in August after they lost to Bemax, my OPINION was that they had little chance just because cbb is up this year and it looked like Michigan was going to need some time to figure things out.
