Given that it was your boy that was stoking the flames of nuclear war your statement is somewhat....stupid.Robert De Niro as quoted by CNN:
"First, I wanna say, 'f**k Trump,'" De Niro said. "It's no longer 'Down with Trump,' it's 'f**k Trump.'"
He would prefer a nuclear exchange to peace. The left wing hate has never been hotter.
This isn't going to be as concise as Bert's reply, but bear with me... or don't. It's whatever.
The German import tariff on US manufactured cars is not in the ballpark of 100%. idk if Bert was going for effect or what, but the German tariff is around 30%. For comparison, the US tariff on imported trucks is around 30%. Maybe Bert was comparing the MSRP of Mustangs in Germany to the MSRP of Mustangs in the US, but those prices are influenced by a lot more than tariffs, like supply and demand, additional logistical costs, or just different pricing formats. Additionally, many of the 'German' or 'Japanese' cars you see on the road in the US where built here. A US tariff on foreign cars obviously wouldn't impact cars manufactured in the States.
Tariffs are designed to protect a country's industries and workers from the effects of unfair competition, in a nutshell. If Country A produces an abundance of... idk... peanuts, can meet the peanut demand in Country B, and sells them for $2 per pound (I have no idea what the wholesale value of peanuts is, just go with me here) and Country B is able to meet the country's demand for peanuts but at $6 per pound, the peanut businesses in Country B would likely die. Country B would become dependent on Country A for all of its peanut related needs. Doesn't sound so bad when we're talking about peanuts, but imagine it's a natural resource that a country can't operate without, or an industry that employs tens or hundreds of thousands of workers. This is why some tariffs are necessary.
Excessive tariffs are a bad thing. Tariffs should be used to level the playing field between allies, not tip the scales heavily in the favor of one over the other. The abolition of all tariffs, though, would be an atrocious and economically unsound idea.
I was not aware of that. So stupid of me.Given that it was your boy that was stoking the flames of nuclear war your statement is somewhat....stupid.
I have him on ignore and don't give a shit what he is saying.@Bert Higginbotha @TheDude1 is nagging about your posting habits. He wanted you to know. tifwiw
He ask to relay the message. Just a messenger.I have him on ignore and don't give a shit what he is saying.
^^^TRIGGERED^^^This guy wakes up with a lie. Mannnnn. Of course his Trumpettes will believe this.
Of course I was totally wrong. Mustangs are cheap in Germany. US cars flood into Japan. US produced milk is cheap in Canada.
Sorry that Trump has already proven to be a better president than you boy Obumma. I know it hurts you to your core, but you'll be ok. Just keep those liberal, racist tears flowing big guy.The man with the plan can't be trusted; the man with the lie is a good guy. Bahahaha
Mental Gymnastics, again.
I do not have you on ignore, although I did not know if you were speaking of me. The Dude1 is intolerable.I think he ignores me, too, and I don't think I'm the fiercest fighter, either... you troll.

Sure. I am sure you will tell @Quavarius the same thing. No no no no no, it's all good; just tell the old guy that he can quote more than one post per post so he doesn't have to spam the thread.
It is crazy how some are desperate to downplay the summit.
Whoa. So, that's it? North Korea isn't a nuclear threat anymore? Its done? Wow. Mission accomplished, I suppose.
BTW, love that he then tweets about our REAL enemy...
They are downplaying a two page document that has no specifics, so they are the real enemy? Jesus. I'm sorry, I don't get how anyone supports this guy.
I wouldn’t classify myself as a supporter by any means, but you remember who he ran against, right?

Yup! Pretty much this.It is crazy how some are desperate to downplay the summit.
Way too premature to make those statements. I think anybody not named Trump would agree.

Wait; so you GENUINELY believe that North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat. It's done. Nuclear weapons are done.
Yes? Or no?
He was doing so poorly, like bigly poorly, that everything improved based solely on the knowledge his terrible policies would eventually be torn apart by DJT----So what was Obama doing that saw practically equal rates of improvement in the economy and unemployment?
Which ones are good?
No, but it's kind of boss of Trump to tell N. Korea they aren't considered a threat. jumpingsmile
What do you mean? I did reply to the post.Okay, well don't then start throwing random statements about people being upset about the summit or whatever out there. Instead, just reply to the actual post. The White House made an official statement that North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat. That is a MASSIVE, MASSIVE, MASSIVE piece of news. Legit MASSIVE. But is it TRUE?
It is crazy how some are desperate to downplay the summit.
It's crazy how some are desperate to point to it as a groundbreaking achievement even though nothing was accomplished. North Korea didn't agree to give up their nukes in any official capacity. If this has started a relationship that will lead to that without jeopardizing the safety of South Korea, then that would be super-great-awesome-incredible. But how 'bout we wait until we see some official, on paper, in actions, progress towards that before touting this as the best thing in the world?
I didn't realize some were "touting it as the best thing in the world."
I started this thread. It's mine. SmokinSmileThen you haven't been paying attention to the thread.
But do you realize that not everyone is claiming this is a groundbreaking achievement yet? I think conservatives believe this is a huge step in the right direction but we can’t really celebrate too much yet because of history related to NK. But liberals and democrats screamed about Trump using tough language against NK and are screaming now when he’s nice to them. I think y’all will scream regardless of what he does, so it doesn’t really bother me.It's crazy how some are desperate to point to it as a groundbreaking achievement even though nothing was accomplished. This is the main issue. I don't know what Trump could do that wouldn't be flipped on him. I am inherently biased b/c i lean right, but the MO of vocal liberals is to demonize every move made by the political opposition. But do you realize that not everyone is claiming this is a groundbreaking achievement yet?
