Bc while Lindsey is obv talented and could help any team in the nation, he definitely downgraded teams this year changing from Michigan to Kansas. Michigan looks like they are making a run towards a 1 seed while Kansas hasn’t been playing as well.

According to Kenpom, Iowa has a better team at this moment. However, the OP made a blanket statement that UM and Gonzaga stand apart from everyone else and that is simply not true at this moment.

Not really. Wilson committed before last season and KU was far better than Michigan last year.
Yesterday was their first true test and I didn't catch the game until I saw something about it on Twitter in the second half.

Wilson committed to play for Beilein. Mainly because he is a valuable player in positionless basketball.
When Beilein went to the NBA he opened up his commitment and KU grabbed him quickly.
I live in Houston and know more about players in this area

Wilson didn’t commit to play on last years Kansas team, he did for this years team. And this year so far it looks like he would be on a better team had he stuck with Michigan.

but I forget athleticism is the crux for college basketball success, and the big 12 has such superior athletes, other conferences teams’ records don’t matter bc they don’t play the supreme athletes in the big 12, who will likely have 5/8 elite 8 teams.
