Yup. Everyone and their brothers... including the two smartest people on this forum (you and I) and both announcers, agree that in that situation tagging the runner was the easier play than trying to throw threw the runner or waiting for the runner to clear.

The initial play should be to first because the runner coming from second can get back quick, avoid the tag, etc.
After he double clutched the proper play is to tag the runner about to cross your glove, face, and throwing arm. You don’t wait for him to pass and then throw.
Yeah, he got rattled with the runner being right there, then over thinking the throw.

I went to a a community college my freshmen year but did spring break in Panama City Beach the same week as Iowa was there. Wore an Iowa Hawkeyes hat I had for some reason. No regrets.

Its not the "having to lose twice, that makes it so pretty---Its the fact they get 3 days off. 1-1 isn't awful. But 2-0 gives you the days off---which allows you to reset your rotation, and come back with your Friday/Satruday guys. That is HUGE. Now either TT or FSU will have to beat a team that will have their 1 and 2 guys available...And a rested bullpen. Twice. Tough task.
ND, that could be a good opportunity. And why not UVA winning the coastal division. It looks manageable.
Are they gonna be good this year? Duke seems solid every year but beatable. UNC might not be bad. Miami is another question mark.

Some guy at a B Dubs here was working wearing a Jake Butt jersey. I said “go blue!” and he looked at me like he was confused. It was at that moment I realized he had no idea who Jake Butt was.

I don't care what the sport is, if its tournament time i always pull for all BIG teams. The only exception is if its a team IU will have to play and they can't beat them.
