Happy Anniversary

You must be running out of things to say if you’re going to attack my fanhood. Try harder.
Another lame response. You have nothing to say as you're getting hammered. You're not a true fan, you are a UNC basketball fan and you can't defend that, so you fire off this lame gem.

Stop acting like you know anything about me. I actually follow UNC baseball just as much as basketball but I’m a bigger baseball fan than anything.

Doesn't matter, you're a UNC sports fan and you don't care about the university. If you cared about the university you never would have started this thread. You should be disgusted by this scandal. You don't know the true details of the scandal (news flash, even UNC brass admitted it was a scam) and you don't care about its reputation.

That’s some funny shit coming from YOU. You are the one that doesn’t have a clue about what went on.
All you see is that UK has been called cheaters for years after multiple probations over the years.
You thought, FINALLY, UNC is going to be proven to be as dirty as your beloved Wildcats. When that didn’t happen, you lost your mind. It drives crazy knowing UNC was found innocent & your school is still one of the dirtiest programs in history.

There are no less than 5 people in this thread that are all telling you that the UNC scam is the biggest scandal ever, but you refuse to listen. These aren't all UK fans either. There are now Duke and Villanova fans using quote screenshots from the case and you still don't get it.
How dense are you?

I went back to page 25 & didn’t see a single screenshot from this case with a link from where it came from.

Like we care what they think. RollLaugh

That's funny. You don't get it.
Your bait thread ended up biting you in the ass. We've kept it going this long for a reason.
I love talking about the UNC scam, a true UNC fan would want this thread to go away in a hurry. A true UNC fan would never start such a thread.
We've kept it going to prolong your embarrassment.
Now you have fans of other programs trying to explain this to you as well.
True UNC fans are embarrassed, you're nothing more than a UNC sports fan that has no ties with the school and doesn't care about the university at all.
If you truly did care about UNC, you wouldn't have started this thread.
But hey, I'm more than happy to keep this thread going. It's hilarious to me that you don't get it.
How many people need to explain it to you before you understand?

So when did you become president of who’s a true fan club? That damn misguided opinion has done you in again. SmokinSmile

He’s running out of ammunition & is now playing the “you’re not a real fan” card.
He’s getting desperate.

That’s what funny. He keeps telling us how others view us, what they think & how we should feel.
What he doesn’t understand is that his opinion doesn’t mean jack shit.

Well he wants his opinion to matter. I mean he’s 25 pages deep and it doesn’t mean anything to us.

My entire participation in this thread was to determine if those aggressively defending UNC had any actual ties to the university. It was a simple yes or no question. For those defending UNC, did you or did you not graduate from UNC?

Based on the replies so far, none of which have been yes, my personal connection to UNC is probably greater than those defending UNC as my wife is a UNC MBA grad and I took several MSCS classes in Chapel Hill toward a degree I never completed.

What I don't understand is why someone who claims to be a UNC fan would have started this thread in the first place. The whole UNC situation isn't something to be proud of nor celebrated. It certainly isn't something the half a dozen UNC grads I know well are proud of. They just want it behind them.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a UNC basketball (or football, or baseball, or whatever fan). But unless you graduated from UNC, I don't think you have any business defending the academic fraud issue. You simply don't have the same vested interest as someone who's academic reputation was affected. You just don't.

If you don't want the UNC scandal be a topic of discussion, just ignore it. Don't respond, don't take the bait. Eventually it will die off because no one engages. Discussion forum threads without engagement fall off the front page pretty quickly.

You’ve asked this question before and I was like SMH. What handbook is out there to say you have to attend the school you root for? I’m from NC but I didn’t go there so I can’t be a fan? And you know what, your opinion doesn’t mean shit. I hope that was clear enough for you.

My reason for starting this thread is because it’s brought up in EVERY thread on here. For years UNC fans heard the shit from rival fans that banners were coming, wins removed & The University was going to get burnt to the ground by the NCAA.
I started this as a reminder to those that talked shit & continues to talk shit, that they were WRONG.
This is a sports message board. Maybe you should find an academic message board to preach on.
By the way, paying players is the dumbest topic out there & you can tell your wife.

I went back to page 25 & didn’t see a single screenshot from this case with a link from where it came from.
How dense are you?
Go to post 1063 for the best one in this thread. How did you miss this one?
Although, I wouldn't expect you to see this screenshot, apparently your mind doesn't allow you to see the true facts of the scandal.
Also, I've pasted multiple articles throughout this entire thread that you and you girlfriend refuse to read.

  • CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The N.C.A.A. did not dispute that the University of North Carolina was guilty of running one of the worst academic fraud schemes in college sports history, involving fake classes that enabled dozens of athletes to gain and maintain their eligibility.

I said without a link. Can you not read?
I posted a link from the NCAA from October 13th 2017 & that quote wasn’t in it.
So, where did that quote come from?

Don’t feel sorry for us because we don’t feel sorry for you and your friends.
Okaaaayyyy
Well, I guess I need to get down to your level. Here, maybe you'll understand this:
I'm rubber and you're glue, whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you. Also, UNC cheated.

There, hopefully that didn't fly over your head too.

Wow, you're lost.
Okay, if you've never seen that quote before, that tells me you truly don't know the true facts of the case.
Not surprised.
Here's a hint, if you want to know the origin of tge quote, google the quote. Duh.

I’m not a damn secretary. If you’re going to post a quote or argue for a quote, tell where it came from.
Without a link, it’s just made up bullshit.

I never said you couldn't be a fan of a school you didn't attend. Lots of people are. There is a big difference between being a fan of a school and publicly defending that institution's reputation every time it is questioned when the general consensus wasn't so much that UNC was innocent but they won legally. There is a big difference.

As for your view that my opinion doesn't mean shit, you're entitled to your opinion. No different than my opinion that your defense of UNC makes you look foolish. You aren't going to fix UNC's reputation. Only time will lessen the public perception that UNC cheated and got away with it.

15 years after Villanova had their phone card scandal, it still comes up from time to time like it did in this article just prior to this year's NCAA tournament. Whether you like it or not, people are going to bring up the UNC academic fraud issue for a long, long time.

I’m gonna tell you like I told the others. We don’t care what you think or how you view us...

Talking about lost. You haven’t accomplished anything since you jumped in this thread. Hell, you probably forgot what your objective was.

Ummm, No sanctions RollLaugh

You’re giving your opinion, that’s not what the FACTS show.
The facts show exactly that. Louisville should have provided prostitutes to a few regular students with the basketball recruits and players. They would have skated too. What a sham. McCants thanks you though for making the Dean's list without attending any classes.

I know for a fact you're clueless. Carry on.

You are a bigger fan of the school known as the biggest cheaters in college basketball history. The sad part of it is that you are proud of it. Says a lot about you as a person.

How many times has UK been placed on probation? I'll wait....
